Baptist Health is seeking an Onboarding Specialist to manage the end-to-end pre-employment and preboarding process for new team members from offer acceptance through Day 1. This role ensures new hires complete all required clearance activities accurately, timely, and in compliance with organizational requirements.

The Preboarding Operations Lead serves as a central point of coordination, partnering with Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, hiring leaders, and operational teams to ensure new hires are fully prepared to begin work. This position also supports New Team Member Orientation (NTMO) by coordinating new hire readiness, scheduling, and providing on-site support to create a seamless Day 1 experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage preboarding and new hire clearance activities from offer acceptance through Day 1.
  • Track clearance timelines and ensure compliance with pre-employment requirements.
  • Coordinate with Talent Acquisition, HR, hiring leaders, and operational teams to resolve issues and delays.
  • Communicate with new hires regarding onboarding requirements, deadlines, and next steps.
  • Maintain accurate preboarding records and documentation.
  • Support New Team Member Orientation (NTMO) and provide on-site orientation assistance.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Identify opportunities to improve preboarding processes and the overall new hire experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate Degree required.
  • 5+ years of general Human Resources experience required.
  • 3–5 years of customer service experience required.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working with HR, onboarding, applicant tracking, or related systems preferred.
