Horizon Health Network in beautiful New Brunswick is looking for a Talent Acquisition Assistant to join our team!

Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is seeking a strategic, agile, and collaborative partner that supports Horizon leaders in workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee engagement. Supporting a workforce of 13,000 employees across diverse bargaining and non-bargaining groups, this position coordinates key talent initiatives that help ensure a skilled workforce and the delivery of safe, quality patient/client care.

Who you are

You have a worked in Talent Acquisition, preferred, for a minimum of 2 years. You have experience in *administrative functions related to recruitment.*You have a knowledge and demonstrated proficiency of high level in Microsoft Office applications, and event planning. Ability to attend work on a regular basis, perform duties of the position, food work record, and written and spoken English at an advanced level.

Baccalaureate Degree in Business Administration or a related field

What you will do

Manage Candidate Application Tracking System

  • Collaborate with respective talent community (Nursing, Support Services, Diagnostic/Therapeutics and/or management) to inclusively support talent acquisition needs.
  • Manage all communication to external applications received directly to a competition, general posting or e-mail.
  • Manage candidate files in the applicant tracking system.

Coordinate the New Hire Process

  • Ensure appropriate hiring approval is in place as per financial plan of establishment. Support manager to secure approval as per approved process if required.
  • Adhere to Part III compensation strategy as negotiated with the five unique collective agreements or Management and Non-Union Pay Plan.
  • Responsible to ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the on-boarding process.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and resourcefulness to general inquiries from new hire on any topic (i.e. expectations on first day, benefits, orientation commitment, salary, required documentation and purpose, etc.)
  • Manage content for all offer letter templates and issuance process.

Event Coordination

  • Manage central database for all career fair events for initiatives supported under the Talent Acquisition Strategy including, but not limited to, campus recruitment, association and nationally organized events. Organization of travel for broader talent team.

Administrative Duties

  • Manage purchase requisitions and payment processing in adherence with appropriate process and financial guidelines.
  • Act as a regional support for all engagement and recognition events.
  • Provide administrative support as required (i.e. team meeting coordination and preparation).
