YOUR MISSION (The Job Description)

The Manager of Talent Acquisition will play an important role sourcing candidates at all levels of the organization to ensure a viable workforce for the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. This role will be responsible for the hiring and processing of all team members, as well as perform professional recruiting for management, salaried, technical, and executive positions. Requirements

THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties)

  • The role is fast-paced and deadline-driven, juggling multiple open vacancies and shifting company growth goals simultaneously.
  • Responsible for managing and executing the hiring of all team members for Virgin Hotels Las Vegas
  • Manage the HRIT system and become the department expert
  • Develop automated and streamlined HRIT processes
  • Develop and administer recruitment and retention programs
  • Be able to develop and maintain a network of candidates through traditional methods, use of social media and relevant technologies, to ensure a quality candidate pool
  • Develop recruitment programs including job fairs, destination recruitment, building relationships with candidates, enhance and expand current college recruitment programs, to facilitate the achievement of quality staffing levels
  • Establish, cultivate, and maintain ongoing relationships with hiring managers to understand business needs
  • Interview, assess, conduct reference checks and places candidates that satisfy the hiring managers' requirements
  • Establish and maintain Human Resources department hiring and recruiting objectives, standards, procedures, and budget to ensure the proper management of recruitment functions.
  • Execute recruitment plan by aggressively recruiting for well-qualified candidates from a variety of sources, assessing candidates, screening, and recommending finalists
  • Interpret federal and state employment laws and Company policies to ensure consistent application and compliance
  • Continuously explore new recruiting sources, job boards, and forums to grow the candidate pool
  • Actively maintain Company Careers social media presence
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Virgin Hotels Las Vegas by being able to provide detailed information on Company culture, guest service standards and initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

MUST HAVE'S

  • Completion of a high school education in addition to a minimum of six years human resources experience
  • Ability to review, comprehend and respond to all necessary department information in timely manner
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with all levels, as well as with outside contacts
  • Proficient in the development and management of recruitment programs and department plan within budget constraints
  • Ability to develop effective recruiting programs for all positions
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must possess a demonstrated thorough knowledge of all state and federal employment laws and regulations
  • Must have extensive knowledge of various interviewing techniques
  • Must have strong marketing skills and be able to influence at all levels
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, web-based applicant tracking systems, and portable technologies
  • Current, legal, and unrestricted ability to work in the United States

WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE'S

  • Full cycle recruiting experience
  • Working knowledge of the I9 process
  • Previous experience in a multi-faceted Human Resources Recruiting role at a similar facility
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resource management, or a related field and four years human resources recruiting experience

THE WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Constant communication is required with candidates, department heads, and senior executives. Balancing pressure from hiring managers against tight talent pools can create a high-stress atmosphere
  • Working with computers for extended periods of time
  • Possible exposure to 'blue' light from computer monitor(s)
  • Handling multiple priorities from multiple stakeholders
  • Work indoors at a desk using computers, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and video conferencing tools. Occasional travel is required for on-site career fairs, university recruitment, and professional networking events
  • Standard full-time hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) are typical, though extra hours are common. Managing operational teams or urgent hiring pipelines often requires flexibility outside normal business hours.
  • Requires the ability to speak, hear (perceive sound) and/or signal people to convey and exchange information; differentiate between colors or shades of color; read a variety of materials, at times complex; apply principles of rational problem-solving; record and deliver information, explain procedures, issue and follow oral and written instructions; and communicate effectively and efficiently in Standard English.
