The Opportunity
Wilshire Law Firm is seeking an experienced, resourceful Legal Recruiter to own full-cycle recruiting for attorneys, legal assistants, case managers, and specialized operational professionals who support one of the firm’s largest and most critical practice areas.
This is a hands-on recruiting role for someone who knows how to find hard-to-reach talent and move searches forward with urgency and sound judgment. You will have the opportunity to strengthen recruiting processes, influence hiring strategy, while delivering professional, responsive, and high-touch candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
This position is based at our headquarters in downtown Los Angeles. Candidates based near our Irvine or Torrance offices may be considered if they can regularly commute to headquarters and travel to other firm locations as needed.
Accountable For
- Conduct intake meetings, define position requirements, and develop targeted recruiting strategies to build and maintain strong talent pipelines for immediate and anticipated hiring needs.
- Proactively identify and engage qualified active and passive candidates through direct sourcing, professional networks, job boards, referrals, and creative search strategies.
- Evaluate resumes and conduct candidate interviews to assess experience, performance history, motivation, and alignment with the firm’s expectations.
- Manage job postings and maximize the effectiveness of LinkedIn, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and other recruiting platforms.
- Serve as a trusted recruiting partner by providing hiring teams with timely updates, market intelligence, and practical insight into available talent pools and obstacles, adjusting sourcing strategies to meet hiring goals.
- Coordinate Zoom and in-person interviews while maintaining momentum and clear communication among candidates and hiring teams.
- Maintain accurate candidate activity within the applicant tracking system.
- Secure offer approvals, negotiate offers, prepare offer letters, and ensure a seamless handoff to Human Resources.
Qualifications
- At least three years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a law firm or professional services organization.
- Demonstrated success sourcing and recruiting for specialized or difficult-to-fill positions and the confidence to engage passive candidates.
- Ability to translate business needs into focused recruiting strategies and build credibility and relationships with hiring leaders.
- Ability to prioritize multiple searches and deliver results in a fast-paced, high-touch environment.
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and other sourcing platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interviewing, negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems.
- Working knowledge of AI-enabled recruiting tools, advanced search techniques, and emerging talent-acquisition technology.
- Familiarity with employment laws, regulations, and recruiting best practices.
- Law firm experience in a Personal Injury or Employment practice is strongly preferred.
Compensation - $85,000–$120,000 annually, depending on experience.
