Qualifications

MINIMAL FORMAL EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • Undergraduate degree in marketing, business, communications, education or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of university regulations, programs and procedures as they relate to the function/program.

EXPERIENCE

  • Three years of directly-related administrative experience is required.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in student recruitment, admissions, enrollment management, or higher education marketing.
  • Proven experience in recruitment in post-secondary setting.
  • Experience developing and executing recruitment strategies to meet enrollment targets and grow program pipelines.
  • Experience managing full applicant lifecycle, from inquiry to enrollment, with demonstrated success in increasing conversion rates.
  • Experience planning and managing recruitment events (info sessions, webinars, fairs, conferences, corporate visits).
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain high-yield recruitment pipelines, including corporate partnerships, feeder schools, international markets, and professional associations.
  • Experience working with international recruitment agents/partners and developing new networks.
  • Experience using CRM systems (Slate) for lead tracking, communication, and reporting.
  • Experience developing marketing and communication materials for recruitment purposes, including website content and social media campaigns.
  • Experience collaborating with multiple internal stakeholders (faculty, alumni, marketing, admissions) to execute recruitment initiatives.
  • Experience preparing and managing budgets related to recruitment activities is preferred.
  • International experience or interest required.
  • An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and relationship-building skills are required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Analytical skills to track recruitment metrics, evaluate funnel performance, and make data-driven decisions is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is required.
  • Flexibility to travel nationally and internationally, including some evening and weekend commitments is required.
  • A satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.

Key responsibilities

Strategic Recruitment Planning

  • Develop and execute long-term Student Recruitment Strategies for each professional graduate program (MBA, MFin, MSCM, and new programs planned for the next three years).
  • Build and execute a dedicated growth strategy for MSCM and MFin, in consultation with the Director, SCGS Programs; Senior leadership, Communications and Marketing Manager; Alumni Relations; and the University’s Student Recruitment Office.
  • Assist with synergistic recruitment initiatives for research programs (PhD and MSc in Management).
  • Plan and prepare long-term recruitment strategies for new professional graduate programs, including JD–MBA, and new specialized Master programs.
  • Develop and execute annual recruitment plans to meet enrollment targets.
  • Identify and build high-yield recruitment pipelines, including corporate partners, undergraduate feeder schools, international markets, and industry/professional associations.
  • Manage major recruitment events, including info sessions, webinars, virtual and in-person fairs, conferences, and corporate or organizational visits.

Recruitment Execution & Outreach

  • Participate in student recruitment fairs across Canada and internationally (in-person and virtual).
  • Deploy and coordinate suitable faculty members to support international recruitment activities.
  • Build, maintain, and expand relationships with international agents and recruitment partners to support enrollment growth and new market development.
  • Organize, host, and present at information sessions (virtual and in-person) for all graduate programs.
  • Collaborate with the university’s central Student Recruitment Office on coordinated outreach efforts.

Prospect Management & Engagement

  • Maintain an active management system to track prospects, applicants, admitted students, and declined offers.

Own the full lead lifecycle from inquiry applicant admitted- enrolled.

  • Implement personalized follow-up campaigns, including email, phone outreach, and automated workflows.
  • Conduct 1:1 consultations with prospective students to provide guidance on program options, admissions requirements, and application processes.
  • Ensure timely responses and tailored communications to support lead conversion and enrollment.
  • Generate regular reports and insights on funnel health, conversion rates, and recruitment outcomes.

Marketing, Communications & Branding

  • Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing Manager to develop and update recruitment materials for the website and other platforms.
  • Review and provide input on marketing and communications content related to professional and research program recruitment.
  • Manage social media activities and campaigns aimed at prospective graduate students.
  • Ensure alignment between marketing activities and program messaging across all recruitment channels.

Collaboration & Relationship Building

  • Build strong working relationships with university recruitment teams, faculty, alumni, and internal partners.
  • Liaise with Executive Education and other university units to coordinate and support cross-promotional recruitment initiatives.
  • Perform other recruitment duties as assigned.

Budget Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage the recruitment budget in consultation with Communications and Marketing and for approval of Director, SCGS and Senior leadership.
  • Report on budget usage, allocations, and projections to the Director, SCGS Programs.
  • May be required to perform related duties not exceeding skills and capabilities as required.
