Position Summary
The Human Resources Administrative and Recruitment Assistant serves as a vital member of the HR team, supporting core human resources functions, departmental administration, and employee engagement initiatives. As the primary point of contact for the company, this individual acts as the face of the organization, providing a welcoming first impression to guests, applicants, and prospective employees. This position is also the first to incoming phone calls.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition: Screen candidates, select qualified applicants, and conduct initial phone/email interviews; schedule on-site interviews, and conduct in-person interviews as needed.
- Pre-Employment Processing: Coordinate reference checks, credential verification, and on-site drug testing while maintaining strict adherence to compliance and EEO regulations.
- HR Systems & Administration: Manage and update candidate profiles within the HRIS; prepare accurate recruitment reports and assist with departmental administrative duties.
- Payroll & General Support: Partner with the HR Generalist to support payroll activities and related administrative workflows.
- Engagement & Outreach: Represent the company at external job fairs/recruitment events and assist in coordinating and executing internal employee engagement activities.
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of general HR or related experience, with a strong background in recruitment, onboarding, and customer service.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with HRIS and payroll software; high proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

- Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally and build strong partnerships with supporting departments.
- Flexibility: Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends for special events or recruitment functions.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Extended periods of speaking and conversing (via phone and in person).
- Ability to conduct walking tours of the facility.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
