Position Overview
The Human Resources Recruiter/Specialist will assist and facilitate HR processes throughout all of our facilities. The person will work directly with and assist the HR Director to fulfill a variety of necessary HR tasks, which include the full cycle recruitment process, onboarding and orientation process. They will manage the company recruitment system (Paycom, Indeed, and LinkedIn). Additionally, they will help maintain all administrative and special projects needed on a weekly basis to ensure all process are executed in the corporate office.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process through the company HRIS system.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria as necessary with the HR Director.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Manage job posting and advertisement processes.
- Screens applications and select qualified candidates, schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Collaborate with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Work directly with and report to the human resources director regarding all HR special projects.
- Order office supplies for all departments and assist with monitoring HR budget.
- Foster positive employee engagement and help with planning company events, employee recognition and company activities on property and off.
- Under the leadership of the HR director, be a vital source of human resources information, answering calls and routing them as necessary to other departments. Maintain the front entrance for guest that may visit the corporate headquarters.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Two plus years of relevant experience in HR work, HR competence and knowledge of HR process and computer programs
- Experience in recruitment for a transportation company or industrial industry a plus
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative and work independently when needed.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
- Associate Degree or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Able to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Highly organized and efficient worker; skilled at multi-tasking, strong time-management skills.

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Able to physically travel via car for long periods of time and air travel to visit our various locations
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
