Position Summary

The HR Recruiter supports the full recruiting lifecycle and helps create an organized, responsive, and positive candidate experience. This role partners with hiring managers and the HR team to coordinate job postings, candidate sourcing and screening, interviews, pre-employment activities, and new hire onboarding. The position also maintains accurate recruiting records, supports hiring reports and process improvements, and provides assistance with general HR operations as needed.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Recruiting (Primary Focus)

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand position requirements, hiring priorities, and interview plans.
  • Create, update, and post job openings across approved recruiting platforms and internal channels.
  • Source candidates through job boards, professional networks, referrals, and other recruiting channels.

Review applications and conduct initial candidate screenings to assess qualifications, availability, compensation expectations, and alignment with position requirements

  • Coordinate interviews, assessments, and hiring-team communication while ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruiting process and provide a consistent, professional candidate experience.

Recruiting Operations & Reporting

  • Maintain recruiting trackers and prepare routine updates on open positions, candidate pipelines, interview activity, and hiring progress.
  • Support recruiting-process improvements, documentation, templates, and hiring-manager resources.
  • Assist with employer-branding activities, recruiting events, career fairs, and talent-pipeline initiatives.
  • Onboarding & HR Support

Payroll & Benefits Backup Support

  • Serve as a trained backup for payroll operations.
  • Crosstrain with Payroll and Benefits Coordinator to learn payroll processing, timekeeping systems, and payroll schedules.
  • Assist with payroll related inquiries, timekeeping issues, and benefits as needed.
  • Support continuity of payroll operations during absences or peak processing periods.

Work Environment

This position performs its duties from the New Braunfels, TX office. The role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, mobile devices, and related technology.

Physical Requirements

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; frequently required to talk and hear, use hands and fingers to type, scroll and use computer equipment. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer and multiple screens; extensive reading; visual inspection of text/data in both print and electronic forms.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time non-exempt position. Days and hours worked are dependent on business needs and workload. General availability during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, is expected. Based on the candidate and /or position, a hybrid work arrangement may be considered; however, a minimum of three (3) or more days per week in the office is required to support executive collaboration, leadership presence, and cross-functional engagement. Some flexibility is allowed. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

There is no major travel requirement for this position. However, infrequent travel may be necessary to visit remote office(s), attend conferences/industry events, etc. Attendance at our corporate Staff Retreat is required. This event is a 2-3-day retreat. Attendance at our annual User Conference as assigned.

Salary Range

The hourly rate is $29.00-$34.00 per hour. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in recruiting coordination, talent acquisition support, or a related HR role
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, HRIS platforms, and Paycom preferred
  • Experience sourcing candidates, conducting initial screenings, and coordinating interviews preferred
