ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruiting

  • Manage assigned job requisitions from opening through accepted offer.
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR leadership to understand staffing needs, position requirements, qualifications, and hiring priorities.
  • Draft, review, and post job openings across appropriate recruiting platforms and career sites.
  • Maintain accurate and current job postings and recruiting records.
  • Review incoming applications and resumes to identify candidates who meet position requirements.
  • Conduct initial phone and/or virtual candidate screens to assess qualifications, experience, compensation expectations, availability, and overall alignment with position requirements.
  • Present qualified candidates to hiring managers with clear screening notes and recommendations for next steps.
  • Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews with hiring managers, interview teams, and leadership.
  • Maintain timely communication with candidates throughout the recruiting process.
  • Assist with sourcing candidates for difficult-to-fill or specialized positions.
  • Support preparation and coordination of employment offers.
  • Conduct appropriate candidate follow-up and disposition candidates within the applicant tracking system.
  • Maintain organized recruiting documentation in accordance with company practices and applicable recordkeeping requirements.
  • Support recruiting activities for salaried, hourly, technical, engineering, manufacturing, and corporate positions as assigned.
  • Participate in recruiting events, career fairs, university recruiting, and other talent attraction activities as needed.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting data and provide regular reporting on the effectiveness and efficiency of the recruiting function.

Onboarding & New Hire Support

  • Partner with HR to ensure a smooth transition from candidate to new employee
  • Coordinate pre-employment activities and required new hire documentation
  • Assist with new hire onboarding preparation and communication
  • Support new employee orientation and onboarding sessions
  • Ensure required employee information and documentation is collected and properly maintained
  • Coordinate with managers and internal departments to help ensure employees are prepared for their first day
  • Follow up with new employees and managers during the introductory period as requested
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve the candidate and new hire experience

Benefits & HR Administration

  • Assist employees with routine benefits questions and direct more complex matters to the appropriate HR or benefits resource
  • Support employee benefit enrollments, qualifying life event changes, and annual open enrollment activities
  • Assist with maintaining accurate employee benefit records and documentation
  • Support reconciliation and review of benefit enrollment information as needed
  • Assist with employee communications related to health and welfare benefits, 401(k), leave programs, and other company-sponsored programs
  • Support HRIS data entry, employee record maintenance, and personnel file administration
  • Assist with employment verification, employee documentation, and other HR administrative activities
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee, candidate, compensation, benefit, and company information
  • Provide support for HR projects, audits, employee programs, training, and other initiatives as assigned

Process Improvement & HR Support

  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting workflows, candidate communication, onboarding, and HR administrative processes
  • Develop and maintain recruiting templates, interview materials, trackers, checklists, and standard operating procedures
  • Partner with HR leadership to maintain consistent hiring and onboarding practices across the organization
  • Support HR compliance activities and accurate recordkeeping
  • Provide responsive customer service to employees, candidates, hiring managers, and external partners
  • Provide HR support onsite in the Van Buren plant
  • Perform other Human Resources duties and special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 2+ years of recruiting, talent acquisition, HR coordination, or HR generalist experience
  • Experience reviewing resumes, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple open positions and competing priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to work with confidential and sensitive employee information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with an applicant tracking system and/or HRIS

Preferred

  • Experience recruiting within manufacturing, engineering, automotive, battery, energy storage, technology, or another technical environment.
  • Experience recruiting both hourly manufacturing and salaried professional/technical positions
  • Experience with UKG
  • Experience supporting employee benefits administration and onboarding
  • Familiarity with federal and state employment laws and recruiting compliance requirements
