Stella Mental Health is a mental health company that provides highly effective treatments for hard-to-treat symptoms and conditions. Stella has clinics across the country that practice the delivery of Stella’s Transformative Care model, which integrates psychotherapy, general psychiatry, and innovative interventional treatments, including ketamine infusions, intranasal esketamine (Spravato), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB), to support meaningful and lasting improvement in mental health by addressing both psychological and biological drivers of conditions such as treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, and anxiety-related disorders. We are a community of compassionate professionals who support our patients and each other throughout their healing journey.
We are looking for a proactive and strategic Healthcare Recruiter to execute our provider headhunting strategy and bring exceptional clinical prescribers to our team. You will play a critical role in scaling Stella's clinical capacity across key multi-state markets. This role is focused on active outbound headhunting to engage and build relationships with passive Psychiatrists (MD/DO) and Advanced Practice Providers (PMHNPs/PAs).
If you thrive in a search-firm mindset, love leveraging modern medical sourcing tools, and want to directly impact the future of interventional psychiatry, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Headhunting: Dedicate the majority of your time to passive candidate outreach, running targeted campaigns to engage high-caliber Psychiatrists (MD/DO), PMHNPs, and PAs across CA, IL, MA, and UT.
- Tech-Driven Sourcing: Maximize investments in specialized platforms including Doximity Talent Finder, LinkedIn Recruiter, PracticeMatch, and medical association databases.
- Brand Advocacy: Educate candidates on interventional psychiatry models and position Stella as an employer of choice across physician networks and academic medical centers.
- Funnel Ownership: Manage prescreening, clinical alignment evaluations, offer composition, compensation negotiations, and candidate closing.
- Regulatory Navigation: Evaluate candidates' multi-state licensing status, scope-of-practice parameters, and DEA registration timelines during early screening.
- Target Delivery: Own an annual hiring goal of 15+ provider placements to support new clinic launches and operational needs.
- Hiring Collaboration: Partner directly with the VP of People & Culture and clinical leadership to provide market intelligence, salary benchmarking, and pipeline visibility.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ensure seamless candidate handoffs to credentialing, onboarding, and clinic management teams upon offer acceptance.
- Data Integrity: Maintain accurate candidate records, funnel stage tracking, and metric reporting within our ATS (Rippling).
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of dedicated healthcare recruiting experience specifically focused on hiring Physicians (MD/DO) and/or Advanced Practice Prescribers (PMHNPs/PAs).
- Proven Headhunting Track Record: Demonstrated success with cold outreach, passive candidate engagement, and direct messaging campaigns (agency/search background preferred).
- Sourcing Expertise: Proficiency with Doximity Talent Finder, LinkedIn Recruiter, and specialized physician databases.
- Healthcare Acumen: Understanding of physician credentialing, state licensing timelines, and multi-state compliance.
- Tech Proficiency: Hands-on experience with modern ATS platforms (Rippling preferred) and Google Workspace / MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Behavioral Health, Psychiatry, or Interventional Psychiatry (TMS, Spravato, Ketamine).
- Prior experience recruiting in Stella’s key markets: California, Illinois, Massachusetts, or Utah.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
