Healthcare Recruiter – Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly personable, service-oriented Recruiter who understands that exceptional hiring begins with exceptional candidate experience. As one of the first points of contact for prospective team members, this individual will represent our senior living community with warmth, professionalism, enthusiasm, and genuine care.
The ideal candidate will have a strong customer-service mindset and the ability to build meaningful relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process. They will create a welcoming and engaging experience that reflects our commitment to our residents, their families, and our employees. Through responsive communication, thoughtful follow-up, and a genuine passion for our mission, this individual will help attract high-quality candidates who are excited to become part of our team and contribute to a culture of integrity, respect, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Recruit qualified candidates for clinical and non-clinical positions, including CNAs, LPNs, RNs, housekeeping, and administrative roles.
Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
Post open positions on job boards, social media, community resources, and other recruiting platforms.
Source candidates through job boards, networking, referrals, career fairs, schools, and community outreach.
Review applications and resumes and conduct initial phone or in-person screenings.
Coordinate interviews with department managers and facility leadership.
Manage candidates throughout the hiring process and maintain timely communication.
Complete employment reference checks, background checks, and required pre-employment documentation in accordance with facility policies and applicable regulations.
Work closely with nursing leadership and department managers to understand staffing needs and hiring priorities.
Track recruiting activity, candidate status, open positions, and time-to-fill metrics.
Develop employee referral and community recruiting initiatives.
Help promote the facility as an employer of choice.
Maintain confidentiality of applicant and employee information.
Ensure recruiting and hiring practices comply with applicable federal, state, and facility requirements.

Qualifications

Highschool diploma is required
Previous recruiting experience required; healthcare or long-term care recruiting experience strongly preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple open positions and priorities simultaneously.
Comfortable using applicant tracking systems, job boards, email, and Microsoft Office or similar software.
Professional, approachable, and able to build relationships with candidates and facility leadership.
Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a team.
Knowledge of healthcare staffing and long-term care environments preferred.
