SUMMARY

Develop and implement creative strategies and activities that lead to the identification and engagement of qualified new resource families statewide for the Treatment Foster Care program.

SCHEDULE

  • Part-time, up to 20 hours per week

Will engage in"boots on the ground"recruitment efforts.

  • 10 hours per week in the Fredericksburg area
  • 10 hours per week in the Annandale/NOVA area

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES include the following.

  • Plan and implement a statewide, annual marketing plan to recruit resource parents with the support of the marketing team and external marketing partners.
  • Conduct recruitment activities in the community to engage and enlist prospective resource families for foster care and adoption.
  • Represent Shineforth at meetings, promotional and educational presentations, media interviews, and relevant events to recruit foster parents.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with businesses, organizations, groups, vendors and individuals in the community through prospecting, cold calls and informational meetings.
  • Work with supervisor, marketing team, and external partners to develop advertising, digital, and printed material for outreach recruitment activities.
  • Train and mobilize community ambassadors, staff, families, and volunteers in all regions to assist with foster parent recruitment.
  • Oversee regional social media pages.
  • Prepare and present monthly summaries that highlight upcoming month’s recruitment efforts and outcomes from previous month’s efforts to Program Directors, Director of Marketing and Communications, and Family Team Supervisors.
  • Meet or exceed the established goal for inquiry calls per month and per fiscal year.
  • Monitor and maintain allocated recruitment budget.
  • Meet with Supervisor on a monthly basis to confer, brainstorm, and problem-solve new ideas and barriers to recruitment for each center.
  • Meet monthly with Foster Parent Guide to review inquiries in reach region, discuss alignment to the need, and modify approach if not meeting the needs for each region.
  • Continuously seek new ways to engage our target audience through online and offline platforms.
  • Provide evening and weekend support at recruitment activities and events.
  • Provide assistance with family recruitment and resource parent functions.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with two years’ sales or marketing experience or a combination of education and experience. Excellent public speaking skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of recruiting and retention programs, ability to independently plan and organize time and activities, experience in foster care recruitment or non-profit marketing a plus.

PAY RANGE

$18.50 - $24 Hourly
