Position Summary
As a Fleet Recruiting Manager, you will oversee recruitment efforts for transportation and fleet operations positions across designated markets. You will collaborate closely with operational leadership to identify hiring needs, develop sourcing strategies, and ensure a positive candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
This role combines talent acquisition, workforce planning, candidate engagement, and recruiting analytics to support company staffing goals and maintain a strong talent pipeline.
Key Responsibilities of a Fleet Recruitment Manager
Recruitment Strategy & Workforce Growth
- Develop and implement recruiting plans to support fleet staffing objectives
- Create sourcing strategies to identify qualified candidates across multiple markets
- Build relationships with workforce agencies, trade schools, transportation organizations, and community partners
- Actively recruit through online platforms, networking events, referrals, and community outreach initiatives
- Promote zTrip career opportunities through hiring events, job fairs, and recruitment campaigns
- Continuously evaluate market trends and adjust recruiting strategies to remain competitive
Candidate Sourcing & Selection
- Identify, screen, and interview qualified candidates for fleet and transportation-related positions
- Assess candidate qualifications, experience, and cultural fit
- Maintain an active pipeline of prospective hires for current and future staffing needs
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and operational leaders
- Support hiring decisions through talent evaluation and recruiting best practices
- Communicate consistently with candidates throughout the hiring process
Onboarding & Candidate Experience
- Manage the onboarding process from offer acceptance through successful integration into the organization
- Coordinate background screenings, employment verification, documentation, and compliance requirements
- Facilitate orientation scheduling and onboarding activities
- Ensure all hiring and onboarding records are accurate and complete
- Deliver a professional, efficient, and positive candidate experience
- Support retention efforts through early engagement and follow-up initiatives
Leadership & Operational Collaboration
- Partner with operational leadership to forecast hiring needs and workforce demands
- Provide recommendations on recruiting priorities and staffing strategies
- Evaluate recruiting effectiveness and implement process improvements
- Support organizational growth initiatives through proactive workforce planning
- Develop long-term recruiting partnerships that strengthen talent acquisition efforts
Reporting & Analytics
- Track and analyze recruiting metrics, hiring activity, and onboarding performance
- Maintain recruiting databases and applicant tracking systems
- Prepare workforce reports and hiring updates for leadership teams
- Monitor recruiting trends and identify opportunities for improvement
- Ensure compliance with hiring policies, procedures, and employment regulations
Qualifications of a Fleet Recruitment Manager
Preferred Experience
- Experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, staffing, workforce development, human resources, or related fields
- Prior recruiting leadership or management experience preferred
- Strong interviewing, sourcing, and candidate engagement skills
