Field Recruiter | Leduc, AB
Savanna Drilling is looking for a Field Recruiter to join our team in Leduc, Alberta.
The Field Recruiter supports the full recruitment cycle for Savanna’s field operations, from identifying and screening candidates through pre-employment requirements and onboarding. This position works closely with Operations and candidates to help maintain a strong pipeline of qualified field employees and provide a smooth hiring and onboarding experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future field hiring needs.
- Review resumes and applications and identify candidates who meet position requirements.
- Conduct phone screens, interviews and reference checks.
- Verify candidate qualifications, experience and required certifications.
- Provide candidates with information about Savanna, available positions, equipment and worksite expectations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate information in the applicant tracking system.
- Coordinate and track pre-employment testing and other hiring requirements.
- Prepare employment contracts, new hire packages and required onboarding documentation.
- Coordinate new hire orientation and assigned training.
- Support candidates throughout the recruitment and onboarding process and respond to questions regarding employment and company policies.
- Enter and maintain accurate new hire information in the HRIS.
- Respond to day-to-day field employee inquiries by phone and email.
- Assist with recruitment reporting and other projects as required.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in recruitment, HR, administration or a coordination role.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate and confidential employee and candidate information.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience working with applicant tracking and HRIS systems.
- Experience with ADP is an asset.
- Previous drilling industry experience is an asset.
