ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Executive Recruiter, you’ll lead executive talent acquisition for Vice President and above roles across Generac, partnering with senior leaders and HR stakeholders to identify, assess and secure critical leadership talent.

You’ll join the Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence, working closely with executive leaders, HR Business Partners and Compensation to develop tailored search strategies, provide market intelligence and build executive talent pipelines that support both immediate hiring needs and long-term succession planning.

This role is an opportunity to influence executive hiring at the highest levels of the organization while bringing deep expertise in executive search, talent markets and public company executive compensation to complex and highly confidential searches.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for Vice President and above positions across the enterprise, with occasional Director-level searches based on business needs and requisition volume.
  • Partner with executive leaders and HR Business Partners to understand leadership requirements, organizational needs and the talent profile needed for success.
  • Develop and execute customized executive search strategies for critical leadership positions, including proactive sourcing, networking and engagement of passive executive talent.
  • Build and maintain robust executive talent pipelines through talent mapping, market research and ongoing relationship development.
  • Conduct executive candidate assessments, interviews and succession benchmarking, providing hiring leaders with informed perspectives on talent and the external market.
  • Provide talent market insights, organizational mapping and competitive intelligence to support executive hiring decisions.
  • Partner with Compensation and HR leadership to develop competitive executive offers and support negotiations involving executive compensation and equity programs.
  • Provide expertise on executive compensation components, including base salary, annual incentives, long-term incentive plans, restricted stock units, performance-based equity awards, sign-on equity, equity buyout arrangements and retention awards.
  • Manage highly confidential executive searches and candidate information with discretion while ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws, company policies and recruiting practices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive recruiting experience.
  • 5+ years of executive recruiting experience focused on Vice President-level and above positions.
  • Demonstrated success recruiting executive talent in a corporate or executive search firm environment.
  • Deep expertise in executive search, talent identification and executive candidate assessment.
  • Strong understanding of public company executive compensation and equity programs, including long-term incentives and equity-based compensation.
  • Strong executive presence, business acumen and organizational awareness, with the ability to build credibility and influence with senior leaders.
  • Strong negotiation, closing, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage highly confidential information with discretion.
