Role Summary: The Driver Recruiting Team Lead is responsible for coordinating and coaching a group of assigned Driver Recruiters in the actions of sourcing and identifying candidates, managing the candidate experience, completing a full and complete investigation into the candidates work and safety background, and creating enough quality hires to maintain a seated truck count above 95% for the company. This position will conduct telephone conversations with driver applicants through both in bound and outbound calls with the purpose of maximizing each opportunity to influence employe with the company. The individual will have complete oversight, autonomy and authority to place advertising and extend conditional job offers to candidates.
Principal Responsibilities

- Coach and mentor assigned Driver Recruiters to hit their goals.
- Achieve 8 First Solo Dispatch Hires per month and produce 96 quality hires per year.
- Collaborate with operations to evaluate and understand business needs
- Maintain a seated truck count above 95% for assigned accounts.
- Interview, gather, and analyze information skilfully to pre-qualify applicants.
- Inform potential applicants about facilities, equipment, operations, benefits, and pay.
- Manages a high volume of incoming and outgoing phone calls
- Evaluates candidates work history, safety performance, and cultural fit for the company
- Extends conditional offers of employment
- Must maintain current working knowledge of transportation laws, DOT regulation, and company hiring criteria
- Completes DOT required investigations into the driver’s background and ensure they qualify for a Class A CDL Truck Driver
- Conduct 1 on 1 meetings with direct recruiting team to review performance metrics
- Monitor direct team’s lead flow and reallocate as needed
- Maintain strict levels of confidentiality in handling sensitive information

Skills and Competencies
(The following minimum requirements are normal guidelines and should not constrain the advancement of otherwise qualified personnel):
- 5 years recruiting experience, customer service or outside sales experience.
- 3 years recruiting applicant tracking experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Transportation, sales, or recruiting experience
- Familiar with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Experience with high volume of phone calls.
- Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.
- Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results.
- Ability to promote a culture of trust and safety.
