Summary

Know how to find great drivers and keep them engaged through the hiring process?

DSV is looking for an experienced Driver Recruiter to help build the driver workforce behind our growing transportation operations. In this role, you'll own the full recruiting lifecycle for CDL-A and non-CDL drivers, from developing sourcing strategies and building candidate pipelines to screening, offers, and pre-employment processing.

This isn't a general recruiting role. We're looking for someone who understands the commercial driver market, knows how to recruit CDL-A drivers in competitive markets, and has hands-on experience using TenStreet.

You'll work closely with Operations, Human Resources, and Safety & Compliance to keep candidates moving through the process and help DSV hire qualified drivers across local, regional, dedicated, and over-the-road operations.

If you're an experienced driver recruiter who enjoys building pipelines, connecting with drivers, solving hiring challenges, and seeing your work directly impact transportation operations, this could be a great next step.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for CDL-A and non-CDL driver positions, from requisition intake and sourcing through candidate selection, offer presentation, and pre-employment processing.
  • Partner with Operations and HR leaders to understand current and anticipated driver staffing requirements across local, regional, dedicated, and over-the-road (OTR) operations.
  • Source and attract qualified driver candidates through TenStreet, job boards, social media, referrals, industry-specific platforms, recruiting events, community outreach, and other sourcing channels while maintaining active pipelines for immediate and anticipated hiring needs.
  • Review applications, conduct candidate screens and phone interviews, and coordinate additional interviews with hiring managers and operational leaders as appropriate.
  • Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the recruiting and pre-employment process to drive candidate engagement and provide a positive and timely candidate experience.
  • Partner with Safety & Compliance, HR, and other appropriate teams to coordinate required driver qualification and pre-employment activities, including MVR, PSP, employment and driving history verification, drug and alcohol testing, DOT physical requirements, background screening, and other applicable requirements.
  • Monitor candidates through pre-employment requirements and proactively address or escalate delays, incomplete documentation, or other issues that may impact hiring.
  • Maintain accurate and timely candidate, requisition, disposition, and hiring records within TenStreet, the applicant tracking system (ATS), HR systems, and other required recruiting platforms in accordance with established processes and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Build strong partnerships with hiring managers and operational leaders, providing guidance and regular updates regarding recruiting strategies, candidate pipelines, hiring activity, market conditions, and recruiting challenges.
  • Monitor recruiting activity, pipeline health, hiring results, sourcing effectiveness, and other key recruiting metrics to identify trends and opportunities to improve candidate conversion, recruiting processes, and time to fill.
  • Participate in driver recruiting events, career fairs, community outreach, and other activities designed to build candidate pipelines and awareness of DSV employment opportunities.
  • Maintain knowledge of driver recruiting trends, competitive hiring practices, labor market conditions, and developments affecting commercial driver recruitment.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships across departments, business units, candidates, vendors, and other external business partners while appropriately handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Travel by vehicle and/or air to DSV locations, recruiting events, career fairs, and other business activities approximately three (3) to five (5) times annually, with additional travel as business needs require.
  • Perform other duties, responsibilities, and project work as assigned by management.
