About the Role

The Director, Talent Acquisition will build the talent acquisition engine that staffs MatrixCare with A Players. MatrixCare is a newly independent, private equity-backed company with a multi-year value creation plan, and the hiring behind that plan has to be fast, consistent, and high quality. You will stand up the function from the ground up which includes a hybrid model of in-house recruiters and a recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) partner, a structured hiring method used for every role, recruiting live on Dayforce, and an employer brand that brings A Players to us directly. You will lead a team of three to four recruiters, own the RPO relationship, and work directly with the Chief People Officer and the executive team. We are seeking a hands-on recruiting leader who has built a function before, holds a high bar on evidence over instinct, and manages hiring like an operator who owns the numbers.

What You'll Do

  • Build the hiring forecast from the value creation plan and refresh it quarterly with Finance so every open role is planned, funded, and filled within the days-to-fill estimate for its type.
  • Lead a structured hiring method (the A Method) across the company so every hire follows a role card, structured screen, and reference process, and train all hiring managers to use it.
  • Hire, develop, and lead a team of three to four internal recruiters who hold the same quality bar and are productive within their first six months.
  • Design and run the hybrid in-house and RPO model.
  • Stand up recruiting on Dayforce, including migrating every in-house and RPO requisition, so funnel, aging, and source data are reported weekly from one system.
  • Deliver a monthly talent acquisition dashboard to the executive team covering quality of hire, source of hire, time to fill, and hiring manager and candidate satisfaction.
  • Own the hiring manager and candidate experience end to end, setting clear service levels for response time, interview scheduling, feedback, and offer turnaround, surveying both groups after every search, and acting on the results so satisfaction stays at 90% or above.
  • Build the employer brand strategy and employee value proposition, refresh the careers page, and grow direct-sourced hires each half so agency reliance falls over time.
  • Manage agency and blended cost per hire within budget.
  • Maintain an A Player bench for every critical role so succession and backfill plans are ready before they are needed.
  • Partner with executives as a trusted advisor on the talent market, compensation realities, and the tradeoffs in each search.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of talent acquisition experience, including 5+ years leading a recruiting team.
  • Experience building or rebuilding a recruiting function in a software or healthcare technology company of roughly 1,000 teammates.
  • Hands-on leadership of an applicant tracking system (ATS) implementation from selection through go-live.
  • Experience managing an RPO or agency program against defined service levels and budgets.
  • Track record of reducing agency spend and cost per hire while hiring volume grew.
  • Fluency with recruiting analytics, including funnel, quality of hire, source of hire, and time-to-fill reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience running the A Method, Topgrading, or a comparable structured hiring method across a company.
  • Dayforce Recruiting experience.
  • Experience in a private equity-backed company, carve-out, or other rapid-growth environment.
  • Experience building an employer brand and employee value proposition from the ground up.

What Success Looks Like

In your first 12 months, success in this role will look like:

  • Every open role is in a hiring forecast tied to the value creation plan, roles are filled within the days-to-fill estimate for their type, and hiring manager and candidate satisfaction are at 90% or above.
  • The A Method is used for every hire, all hiring managers are trained, and the A Player hire rate is at 90% or above.
  • Recruiting is live on Dayforce with every requisition in one system, and a monthly dashboard with quality and source of hire is shared with the executive team.
  • Three to four internal recruiters are hired and productive, the RPO is meeting its service levels every quarter, and agency spend and cost per hire are within budget with an employer brand strategy approved and the careers page refreshed.
