PURPOSE.
This position is responsible for the consistent growth and seating of Class A CDL drivers (First Solo Dispatch).
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES.
- Meets or exceeds recruitment key performance indicators including, but not limited to number of drivers hired, lead generation, reductions in turnover, and staff development.
- Develop, train, and recognize a team of high-performing recruiters.
- Execute military recruiting strategy.
- Execute strategies to source, screen, and hire Class A CDL Drivers and Independent Contractors.
- Work with business unit leaders to fulfill driver hiring needs for Truckload, Dedicated, Davis Transfer, and Team divisions.
- Create, update, and communicate a driver recruiting scoreboard that informs on progress toward department goals.
- Develop and execute a diverse top-of-funnel and social recruiting marketing plan.
- Manage media spend to produce a low cost per hire.
- Determine current staffing needs and produce forecasts.
- Develop talent acquisition strategies and hiring plans.
- Ensures adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations governing the employment process.
- Perform sourcing to fill open positions and anticipate future needs.
- Plan and conduct recruitment and selection processes (interviews, screening calls etc.).
- Take steps to ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Develops and collaborates with others to develop performance standards. Measures against metrics.
- Takes corrective actions as appropriate.
- Recommends and takes responsibility for training and development among staff.
- Ensures the integrity and timeliness of data entered into the system by self, staff, and project teams as designated.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or like discipline, or combination of education and experience.
- Minimum five years’ demonstrated experience and success in logistics operations, driver recruiting, and retention practices.
- Minimum five years of demonstrated ability to manage others and lead processes.
- Minimum two years’ experience in recruiting systems.
