Position Highlights
The James E. Rogers College of Law invites applications for the position of Career & Recruitment Operations Coordinator, Career Development Office (CDO). The CDO serves the dual mission of 1) providing career and professional development programming and advising to Arizona Law students and alumni, and 2) connecting legal employers to the Arizona Law community through recruitment technologies, programs, and events.
The primary responsibility of this position will be to deliver the core business operations necessary to advance the office’s objective of connecting Arizona Law students and graduates with employment opportunities by coordinating systems, programs, resources, events, and operational processes. This position serves as a key point of contact for employers, external partners, and students to assist in facilitating employer recruiting activities, job postings, interview programs, career resources, and recruiting events.

Duties & Responsibilities
Recruitment Support
- Administer and optimize CDO’s core technology, CareerCAT, Arizona Law's job bank & recruiting system, to actively connect law students and graduates with employers and employment opportunities.
- Promote opportunities across multiple modules: career advising appointments, job postings, interview programs, events, and job search resources.
- Provide full-cycle event management support for all CDO programs, recruiting activities, and events, designed to connect students and graduates with employers, career professionals, and employment opportunities, including date selection, room reservations, participant communication, employer coordination, and event day support.
- Coordinate participation in collaborative job banks, recruiting platforms, and employment resources with other participating law schools to expand access for students to employment opportunities with prospective employers.
Student and Employer Support
- Provide frontline intake and routing for all inbound student, graduate, and employer inquiries to CDO Suite front desk, including scheduled and drop-in advising requests, emails to CDO departmental email address, and phone calls to CDO’s main phone line.
- Manage inbound and outbound requests for reciprocity with other law school career offices, expanding access to employment resources and career services for students pursuing opportunities in other geographic markets.
- Facilitate connections among students, graduates, employers, and employment opportunities by identifying and promoting relevant job postings, recruiting programs, career resources, interview opportunities, and employer engagement activities through CDO systems and communication channels.
Business Operations and Office Support
- Propose and implement strategies to improve office workflows and businesses processes.
- Serve as CDO's Pro Card Holder in compliance with UA Finance & Budget processes.
- Welcome CDO visitors to the College of Law, including securing parking reservations through the appropriate UA Parking & Transportation businesses process, communicating with visitors regarding directions and parking instructions, and greeting visitors to the building.
- Manage approximately one dozen CDO subscriptions to legal careers and job search resources that support student and graduate career exploration and identification of employment opportunities.
- Inventory and order office supplies.
- Monitor CDO advising availability, including scheduled appointments and drop-in advising requests, and propose solutions for students and employers seeking consultation from advising team.
- Manage CDO Conference Room calendar, including greeting interviewers and visitors for in-person interviews, managing interviewee waiting area, and student use for virtual interviews.
- Monitor CDO Suite organization and maintain space commensurate with expectations of busy, professional environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to manage several immediate-need, short-term, and long-term projects simultaneously.
- Strong written, interpersonal, and customer service skills to provide a welcoming and professional first impression of the CDO at the front desk.
- Ability to triage front desk emergencies, using de-escalation strategies and routing matters to appropriate CDO advisor.
- Deploy strong time management skills and attention to detail across a range of projects and situations.
- Identify opportunities for improved workflows and business processes and make recommendations to CDO advisors.
- Communicate effectively and empathically with students and employers in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
- Excellent event management skills.
- Knowledge of career services, recruitment, employee relations, or student services practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of recruiting processes.
- Skilled in administering and maintaining technology systems and databases.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; OR
- Bachelor's degree and minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience; OR
- Any equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience in human resources or talent acquisition.
- Experience in a higher education setting, including a law school career office.
- University of Arizona work experience.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
