Job Summary
The Contract Recruiter is responsible for supporting the high-volume hiring efforts associated with the opening of the new Shops on 80th location. This temporary position, anticipated to last approximately three months, will manage full-cycle recruitment for a wide variety of retail positions.
The Contract Recruiter will partner closely with Human Resources and operational leaders to develop and execute recruiting strategies, source qualified candidates, coordinate hiring events, facilitate interviews, and ensure hiring goals are met in preparation for opening. Success in this role is measured by achieving staffing targets, maintaining an exceptional candidate experience, ensuring compliance, and supporting a seamless onboarding process.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts for all positions required to support the opening of the Shops on 80th location.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, hiring priorities, and opening timelines.
- Conduct intake meetings to determine position requirements, desired qualifications, and hiring expectations.
- Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates for hourly, supervisory, and management positions.
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, community partnerships, employee referrals, networking events, and direct outreach.
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines to support high-volume recruiting needs.
- Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate interviews to evaluate qualifications and fit.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Organize and facilitate job fairs, hiring events, and open interview sessions to drive applicant flow.
- Ensure timely communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process and provide a positive candidate experience.
- Extend verbal offers and coordinate offer approvals and documentation.
- Partner with Human Resources to coordinate onboarding activities and pre-employment requirements.
- Maintain accurate applicant tracking records and recruitment documentation.
- Monitor recruiting metrics and provide regular updates on applicant flow, hiring progress, and staffing projections.
- Assist with workforce planning and recommend strategies to meet hiring goals before opening.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Support additional recruitment initiatives and special projects as assigned.

- Ability to move throughout the property and between hiring event locations as needed.
- Extended periods of standing and walking during job fairs, hiring events, and recruitment activities.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds of recruiting materials, event signage, and supplies.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer for sourcing, interviewing, scheduling, and reporting.
- Ability to attend local recruitment events and community outreach activities.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends during peak hiring periods and recruiting events.
Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- Proven experience successfully recruiting for hourly, supervisory, and management positions.
- Experience supporting new business openings, large-scale hiring initiatives, or workforce expansions strongly preferred.
- Strong sourcing and candidate relationship-building skills.
- Experience conducting interviews and evaluating candidates against established hiring criteria.
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and recruiting platforms.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Knowledge of employment laws, recruiting compliance requirements, and hiring best practices.
- Experience coordinating hiring events, career fairs, and community outreach initiatives preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
