The anticipated hourly rate for this position ranges from $21/hour to $26/hour, with final compensation based on the candidate’s completed co-op work terms.
Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for a co-op student to join our Talent Acquisition team within the Human Resources department. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment with an enthusiastic and engaged team, with a passion for hiring the best talent. This is a contract opportunity, and the individual will report to the Manager of Total Rewards and Talent Acquisition.

Co-op Program Initiatives
- Case competition with other students to solve a real-world business problem
- Co-op Events (business acumen series, past & present series, final presentation)
- Social lunches – connect with co-op students from all departments
What You’ll Be Doing
- Consult with hiring managers to understand role requirements and objectives
- Review and post job descriptions on TCI’s career website & universities job boards
- Assess applications and provide a shortlist of qualified candidates to hiring managers
- Use recruiting tools such as tests and assessments to evaluate candidates’ skills
- Conduct phone screen conversations and Microsoft Teams interviews
- Maintain accurate records of the recruitment process using Workday
- Provide feedback on the overall co-op recruiting strategy
- Support the Talent Acquisition Manager on Talent Acquisition projects
- Opportunity to contribute to other areas in Human Resources
- Support with organizing and attending job fairs and employer engagement events
What You’ll Bring
- Currently enrolled in a college/university co-op program, preferably in Business Management/Human Resources
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong multi-tasking and analytical skills, with the ability to handle ad-hoc assignments
- Teamwork experience through school, extra-curricular activities, or past work assignments
