The Bilingual Recruiting & Training Specialist is a boots-on-the-ground position. The specialist is responsible for actively recruiting employees through jobsites, community relationships, trade programs, hiring events, referrals, and other field-based recruitment efforts.
This position will also collaborate with key leadership to identify skills gaps within the team and assist in providing necessary training to elevate employees in their current roles or preparing them for future growth.
All employees are expected to support and uphold the company’s core values of a faith-driven purpose, excellence, safety first, integrity, relationships, and innovation and growth in all aspects of work and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit field positions including Laborers, Carpenter Helpers, Carpenters, Foremen, and other construction roles.
- Spend regular time on jobsites building relationships with employees, field leaders, and potential candidates.
- Develop recruiting pipelines through trade programs, workforce organizations, schools, community partners, hiring events, and employee referrals.
- Screen candidates and help identify individuals who align with Heritage’s requirements, culture, and values.
- Partner with Foremen and Superintendents to identify employee strengths, skill gaps, and development opportunities.
- Help create and support individual development plans and career pathways for field employees.

- Support performance evaluations by connecting employee goals with training and development opportunities.
- Track training participation, progress, and effectiveness.
- Reinforce Heritage’s safety expectations, OSHA requirements, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Build strong relationships with field employees, leadership, and external recruiting and workforce partners.
- Continuously improve recruiting, training, and employee-development efforts to support Heritage’s growth.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of construction industry experience, preferably concrete, heavy civil, or a similar field environment.
- Previous leadership experience as a Foreman, Lead, Trainer, or similar field leadership role.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required, with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Strong coaching, communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively with field employees, Foremen, Superintendents, and company leadership.
- Organized, dependable, and able to follow through on commitments.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new technology.
- Willing and able to travel regularly to active construction jobsites.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical & Work Environment
This is a field-focused position, not strictly an office role. Candidates must be comfortable regularly visiting active construction jobsites, walking and standing on uneven terrain, working in Florida heat and changing weather conditions, wearing required PPE, driving to jobsites and recruiting events, and occasionally lifting or carrying materials weighing up to 80 pounds.
The ideal candidate is someone who understands construction, enjoys developing people, and can connect the right people with the right opportunities, whether that means bringing new talent into Heritage or helping an existing employee grow into their next role.
