Job Summary
PPG Quality is seeking a highly motivated Bilingual Recruiter (English/Spanish) to join our People Operations team. This hybrid position is responsible for developing recruiting strategies, sourcing qualified candidates, conducting interviews, coordinating onboarding, and supporting workforce planning initiatives for multiple customer locations.
Working closely with the Director of People Operations, Operations Leadership, and our recruiting team, the Bilingual Recruiter will play a vital role in attracting top talent, maintaining a strong recruiting pipeline, and ensuring our customers receive exceptional workforce support. This position requires occasional travel within approximately a one-hour radius of Montgomery, Alabama for hiring events, customer visits, orientations, and recruiting initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, recruit, interview, and hire qualified candidates for manufacturing, warehouse, administrative, and industrial positions.
- Build and maintain a continuous recruiting pipeline to support current and future staffing demands.
- Develop recruiting strategies utilizing Indeed, social media, employee referrals, community organizations, churches, schools, staffing events, and networking opportunities.
- Conduct telephone, virtual, and face-to-face interviews.
- Coordinate onboarding activities including employment documentation, I-9 completion, E-Verify, background checks, drug screens, and orientation.
- Schedule candidates for customer verification classes and assignment start dates.
- Maintain accurate applicant records and recruiting activity within BambooHR and other recruiting platforms.
- Communicate professionally with applicants throughout the hiring and onboarding process to ensure an exceptional candidate experience.
- Partner with Operations and the Director of People Operations to prioritize staffing needs and workforce planning initiatives.
- Attend hiring events, job fairs, community outreach events, and customer meetings as needed.
- Travel to customer locations and recruiting events within approximately a one-hour radius of Montgomery, Alabama.
- Maintain recruiting reports, applicant flow, staffing metrics, and hiring activity.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and applicable employment laws.
- Perform additional recruiting and workforce support duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Fluent in English and Spanish (Required)
- High School Diploma or GED required; college coursework in Human Resources or Business preferred.
- Previous recruiting, staffing, Human Resources, or customer service experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Highly organized with exceptional time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and web-based recruiting platforms.
- Experience with BambooHR, Indeed, or applicant tracking systems is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel within approximately a one-hour radius of Montgomery, Alabama.
- Flexible to work overtime, evenings, and weekends as business needs require.
