Opens a LinkedIn search of your own network. We never see your connections.

At 7 Dees, our people are the heart of everything we do, from the crews caring for landscapes across the region to the teams welcoming customers into our garden centers. As we grow, finding and keeping great people matters more than ever. That's where you come in.

Your main focus will be recruiting. You'll shape who joins 7 Dees and how they feel once they're here. You'll recruit for every corner of the company: landscape field staff, garden center retail, administrative, and management positions. You'll partner closely with managers across all our divisions to understand what they need and find people who will thrive. Your work doesn't end at the offer. You'll welcome new hires, check in with them as they settle in, and help build a workplace people want to stay in. Much of that work happens in both English and Spanish, so fluency in both is required.

Our business runs on the seasons, and this job does too. From late winter through spring, hiring is at its busiest and you'll juggle many open positions at once. When hiring slows down, you'll spend more of your time helping the rest of the HR team with things like benefits, open enrollment, employee events, training, and HR records. Our HR team works closely together, and everyone pitches in where needed, so you'll grow your HR skills well beyond recruiting.

What You'll Do

  • Own hiring for field, retail, office, and management roles, from job posting to offer
  • Build candidate pipelines through job fairs, schools, community events, and online platforms, especially for seasonal hiring
  • Serve as the main contact for applicants and keep hiring managers in the loop
  • Lead new hire orientation and check in with new employees during their first weeks and months
  • Keep the applicant tracking system and hiring records accurate and in line with federal and state law
  • Be a go-to person for Spanish-speaking employees with HR questions
  • Help with benefits and open enrollment, employee events, exit interviews, and training
  • Pitch in on HR projects and administration, especially during slower hiring months

  • A team player who is happy to help wherever the HR team needs it
  • Comfortable with MS Office and applicant tracking systems
  • High school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and reliable transportation

Work Environment

  • This is an in-person role at our main office in SE Portland with regular local travel to our offices, garden centers, and hiring events, plus occasional overnight travel.
