POSITION SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Benefits/Recruiter Coordinator will be to perform the functions of the Recruiting position and give support to Benefits Administration to the HR Director. As the Recruiter this position will be responsible for researching, assisting to develop and implementing effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates. This position will act as a liaison between the vendor and the employee, providing assistances for benefits within the facility.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as other departments within the facility, to assure that payroll services and activities can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the facility.

- Review, submit suggestions and comments and interpret benefit policies and procedures to personnel, auditors, etc., as directed by the HR Director.
- Accumulate, maintain, and report statistical data as directed.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of an efficient filing system that meets the needs of the facility and complies with current employment practices.
- Release information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Assist in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished.
- Assist in developing, implementing and coordinating department policies, procedure manuals, etc. as it relates to benefit and/or recruiting processes.
- Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary confidential forms, reports, etc. and making recommendations concerning payroll functions, to the HR Director and/or CFO and/or Administrator on a timely basis, as required.
- Provide information to employees as necessary, or refer to appropriate department.
- Work with the facilities consultants/auditors as necessary and implement recommended changes as required.
- Respond to inquiries in a timely and courteous manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent human resource information in accordance with the Privacy Act, as well as our established Human Resource policies governing the release of information.
- Provide public information (i.e., verification of employment, wages, etc.), in accordance with current laws, regulations, and guidelines governing such matters.
- Represent the facility at and participate in meetings as directed.
- Other related duties and responsibilities that may become necessary or as directed by the HR Director.
- Complete wage and benefit forms for various agencies (worker’s compensation, unemployment compensation, etc.) in accordance with current applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines governing such actions.
- Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Responsible for full cycle recruiting, which includes; job posting and advertisement processes, pre-screening, interview scheduling, and ensuring a smooth on-boarding process for the candidate.
- Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
- Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.

- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Attends and participates in job fairs and recruiting sessions.
- Interpret benefits information to employees as necessary or required.
- Provide benefits orientation to newly hired eligible employees.
- Monitor worker’s compensation claims and coordinate work between employees and the insurance carrier.
- Provide benefit deduction information for payroll.
- Schedule and participate in employee benefit meetings as required.
- Maintain accurate vendor records for all benefit vendors
- Process benefit vendor billing properly and timely
General
- Respond to fire alarms as required (refer to Fire Safety Manual for employees’ responsibilities and those that are specific to your position.
- Treat all residents fairly, with kindness, dignity and respect. Maintain confidentiality of all resident and facility information.
- Report all complaints, concerns made by the resident, allegations of abuse or neglect to direct supervisor or the RN Supervisor.
- Follow all safety procedures and precautions in the performance of your duties and when operating equipment. Report all safety violations, unsafe or hazardous conditions and any equipment issues immediately.
- Review Corporate Compliance educational materials, comply with Corporate Compliance directives, and report any Corporate Compliance issues according to established procedures.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience: Minimum two (2) years recruiting experience; Benefits experience/knowledge preferred; Proficient with Microsoft Office; Proficient or the ability to quickly learn applicant tracking software
