Overview

Help build the commercial team scaling cutting-edge construction technology

At XYZ Reality, we’ve created the world’s first engineering-grade Augmented Reality solution for construction. Our product, The Atom, is used on major projects worldwide to help construction teams build more accurately, efficiently and with fewer mistakes.

As a Series B business scaling rapidly across the US and internationally, we’re looking for an experienced Senior Talent Acquisition Partner to play a critical role in building the commercial talent behind our next stage of growth.

We’re looking for someone who understands what exceptional sales talent looks like — and, importantly, knows where to find it.

If you have deep experience hiring high-performing Account Executives and strategic sales professionals, particularly those selling into construction, AEC, Data Centres or adjacent industries, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

You’ll own recruitment across our growing US commercial organisation, with an initial focus on hiring high-calibre Account Executives and strategic sales talent capable of selling complex technology and services into the construction industry.

This is not a role focused on processing s. You’ll proactively identify the strongest performers in the market, understand the companies and talent pools we should be targeting, and build relationships with sales professionals who may not be actively looking.

You’ll partner closely with senior commercial leaders, including our CRO and wider leadership team, to understand the profile of successful hires, challenge requirements where needed and translate our growth plans into a focused talent strategy.

You’ll combine hands-on sourcing with commercial insight, using market mapping, competitor intelligence, referrals and targeted outreach to build a strong pipeline of proven sales talent.

What You’ll Be Doing

Own end-to-end recruitment for Account Executives, Strategic Sales and wider commercial roles across the US and beyond.
Identify and engage proven sales performers from construction, construction technology and relevant adjacent markets.
Build detailed market maps across target companies, competitors and high-value talent pools.
Proactively headhunt passive candidates rather than relying on inbound s.
Develop a strong understanding of who the top sales performers are, where they sit and what will attract them.
Partner with the CRO and senior commercial leaders to define hiring profiles and advise on talent availability, compensation and market dynamics.
Challenge assumptions and bring external market insight into hiring decisions.
Assess candidates against commercial performance, sales complexity, customer profile and cultural fit.
Build proactive pipelines against future commercial growth plans.
Deliver an excellent candidate experience from first approach through to offer and close.
Use recruitment data and market intelligence to provide clear visibility of pipeline, progress, risks and opportunities.
Help strengthen our direct sourcing capability and reduce reliance on external search and recruitment agencies.

What We’re Looking For

Significant experience recruiting senior Account Executives, Strategic Sales, Enterprise Sales or similar commercial talent.
A strong track record of hiring high-performing salespeople into high-growth businesses.
Experience recruiting sales professionals who sell into the construction industry is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of relevant talent markets such as construction technology, AEC software, SaaS, professional services or other complex B2B environments.
Demonstrable ability to identify proven sales performers, rather than simply candidates with the right job titles.
Exceptional direct sourcing, headhunting and market-mapping capability.
Strong commercial judgement and the ability to understand sales models, territories, customer segments and individual performance.
Confidence partnering with C-suite and senior commercial stakeholders, providing insight and constructively challenging where appropriate.
Experience operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities and hiring requirements can evolve quickly.
Strong candidate management and closing skills, particularly with senior passive talent.
Based in or within commuting distance of Austin, Texas - Beneficial

Above all, we’re looking for a recruiter who is commercially curious, naturally proactive and genuinely passionate about finding exceptional talent. Someone who wants to understand who the best people in the market are, and then work out how to bring them to XYZ Reality.
