As a PRN People & Culture Recruiting Specialist, you'll bring full-cycle recruiting expertise to Valir on a flexible, as-needed basis — stepping in during peak hiring volume, coverage gaps, and special projects to keep great candidates moving toward great teams.

This isn't a behind-the-desk role. You'll partner directly with hiring managers and P&C Business Partners across Valir PACE (Oklahoma City, Shawnee), Cherry Blossom PACE (Virginia), and Valir Hospice — representing Valir's mission and culture to every candidate you meet, while helping the organization build the teams we need today and tomorrow.

Duties/Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Full-Cycle Recruiting

Own full-cycle recruiting for assigned requisitions — sourcing, screening, interviewing, and extending offers — in close partnership with hiring managers.
Perform searches for qualified candidates using databases, networking, internet recruiting resources, and employee referrals.
Review resumes and conduct phone screens and interviews to assess work history, training, education, and job skills against role requirements.
Support the organization's proactive, EVP-aligned recruiting strategies and pipeline-building efforts as directed by the P&C team.
Maintain a strong, ready candidate pipeline by attending job fairs, building local market contacts, and engaging with relevant professional organizations.

Business Partnership & Candidate Experience

Partner with hiring managers and P&C Business Partners across Valir's Oklahoma and Virginia sites to anticipate staffing needs and maximize recruiting effectiveness.
Provide candidates with complete, accurate information about Valir Health and the specific role — including compensation, benefits, schedule, working conditions, and growth opportunities.
Represent Valir's mission and culture throughout the candidate experience, from first contact through offer.
Screen and refer applicants to hiring personnel, making hiring recommendations when appropriate.

Onboarding Support

Coordinate handoff of new hires to the onboarding process, helping ensure a smooth, well-informed start.

Compliance & Documentation

Maintain accurate, well-organized documentation on all recruiting activity in the applicant tracking system to ensure compliance.
Apply working knowledge of federal and state employment law as it relates to recruiting, interviewing, and hiring.

General

Lean in wherever you're needed — contributing to P&C team initiatives and recruiting priorities as they evolve, with schedule and hours varying based on organizational need.
Any and all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education, Licenses, Certifications and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum 2-3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
Experience recruiting within an HR/People & Culture business-partner or generalist model preferred.
Healthcare industry experience preferred.
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP credential a plus.

Working Conditions

This role is primarily performed in an indoor, climate-controlled environment with occasional travel and exposure to outdoor elements. As part of a healthcare organization, this position may be incidentally exposed to a range of environmental factors including communicable diseases, hazardous materials, sharp objects, body fluids, electronic equipment, high-pitched noise, and repetitive motion.

Safe Environment
