TRELLIS BUILDS AND DEPLOYS SELF-IMPROVING AGENTS TO GET PATIENTS ACCESS TO LIFE-SAVING MEDICINE.

Our AI agents process billions of dollars worth of therapies annually with patients in all fifty states. We do this by automating document intake, prior authorizations, and appeals at scale to streamline operations and accelerate care. We classify medical referrals, understand chart notes, and automate contract and reimbursement search to provide patients with accurate coverage determinations and cost responsibility. Think of us as the infrastructure behind how patients get their medications.

Trellis is a spinout from Stanford AI Lab and is backed by leading investors including YC, General Catalyst, Telesoft Partners, and executives at Google and Salesforce.

THE ROLE

We're hiring a Contract Recruiter to help us scale the team quickly. This is a contract-to-hire role reporting to Matt Halper (Head of Talent). You'll be in seat within one to two weeks and take on a high volume of recruiter screens across engineering, deployment, and go-to-market roles.

We're hiring across Forward Deployed Engineering, Software Engineering, Security, Deployments, Sales, and Operations. You'll be the first human conversation most candidates have with Trellis, so how you show up shapes how they see us.

Compensation: This is an hourly contract role, with a path to full-time employment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Run recruiter screens: Own first-round conversations for a high volume of candidates, assess fit, and sell the opportunity
Source top talent: Find and engage strong candidates through LinkedIn, referrals, and our networks
Manage the pipeline: Keep candidates moving through Ashby with fast, clear communication at every stage
Partner with hiring managers: Calibrate on what great looks like and share pipeline data and market feedback
Coordinate interviews: Schedule loops and make sure every candidate has a great experience
Keep it human: We don't use AI screeners. You'll be the person candidates talk to.

ABOUT YOU

You're organized, fast, and great with people. You can talk to an engineer and a sales leader in the same afternoon and get to the heart of what makes each a fit. You like startup pace and you take ownership of your pipeline.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

3+ years of full-cycle or agency recruiting experience, ideally at a high-growth startup
Experience recruiting for technical and go-to-market roles
Comfort running a high volume of screens each week
Experience with Ashby or a similar ATS
Availability to start within one to two weeks
Based in San Francisco or able to work from our SF office is strongly preferred
