Job Description

The Human Resource Specialist is responsible for all HR functions including recruitment of personnel, benefits administration, payroll, employee reviews and annual evaluations. The HR Specialist also works with each department manager to coordinate, schedule, and track employee training/certification.

Initial Job Duties

Hire the most talented candidates for all functions
Manage benefit administration to include medical coverage, life insurance, 401(k) and company matching
Administers payroll and PDO earned
Responsible for requisition management and recruitment. Accountable for personnel hiring and separations.
Work with leaders to proactively manage the staffing, movement and development of talent
Assist supervisors in the handling of personnel issues.
Address failures to comply and follow procedures with regard to attendance, uniform code, protective gear, safety rules, GMP violations. Failures to comply will result in corrective counseling or disciplinary action.
Contribute to personnel quarterly reviews and annual performance appraisals
Manage the plant attendance policy
Work with each department to coordinate, schedule, and track employee training/certification.
Cross Training and rotations
Work with consulting agencies to bring in contract workers
Measure company morale, and create a positive working environment.
Oversee the development of resource talents, skills, and abilities to achieve organizational goals.
Work with outside legal and resources, to stay current on laws and regulations.
Prioritize critical projects based on business need and available resources.
Ensures all Company HR related policies are applied consistently
Ensures compliance with all federal and state laws
