Help Us Find the People Who Will Build Strohwig's Future.

Finding the right people is one of the most important parts of growing a successful company. At Strohwig Industries, we're looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist ready to take ownership of our recruiting efforts, build meaningful relationships, and attract the skilled employees who will shape our future.

Strohwig is a precision manufacturing company serving the aerospace, defense, energy, and other demanding industries. Our work requires exceptional skill, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality. As we continue to grow, finding and developing talented employees will be essential to our success.

We're looking for someone who enjoys connecting with people, can identify strong candidates, and isn't afraid to try new recruiting approaches. You'll have the opportunity to improve how we recruit, strengthen our relationships with local schools and workforce organizations, and help create a better experience for candidates and new employees.

If you're an experienced recruiter who wants to make a meaningful impact and help build a workforce for the future, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Recruiting & Hiring

Manage the recruiting process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, applicant screening, interviews, and hiring coordination.
Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, evaluate candidates, and identify the right fit for each position.
Conduct phone screens and initial interviews, coordinate additional interviews, and maintain consistent candidate communication.
Prepare and coordinate employment offers, background checks, pre-employment requirements, and hiring documentation.
Develop and maintain candidate pipelines for current and future staffing needs.
Track recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, recruiting sources, candidate activity, and new-hire retention.

Talent Outreach & Partnerships

Build relationships with local high schools, technical colleges, universities, and workforce development organizations.
Coordinate and attend career fairs, school visits, and other recruiting events.
Partner with our marketing team to strengthen Strohwig's recruiting presence and promote career opportunities.
Identify new ways to reach qualified candidates, particularly for skilled manufacturing positions.

Onboarding & Workforce Development Support

Coordinate new-hire orientation, onboarding activities, training schedules, and follow-up.
Help create a positive, organized, and consistent experience for new employees.
Support state apprenticeship and internal employee training programs through scheduling, documentation, recordkeeping, and progress tracking.
Work with the HR Manager and department leaders to coordinate workforce development activities and maintain accurate training records.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
At least 2 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or a related HR role.
Experience screening applicants, conducting interviews, and coordinating hiring activities.
Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple open positions, competing priorities, and deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using applicant tracking or HR information systems.
Ability to handle confidential employee and candidate information professionally.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience recruiting for manufacturing, skilled trades, or technical positions.
Experience with candidate sourcing and proactive recruiting outreach.
Familiarity with apprenticeship programs, technical colleges, or workforce development organizations.
Experience coordinating onboarding and new-hire orientation.
Experience tracking and reporting recruiting metrics.

What Makes This Opportunity Different?

You'll Own the Recruiting Process. This isn't a position where you'll simply schedule interviews and process paperwork. You'll have the opportunity to manage recruiting activities, work directly with hiring managers, and make recommendations that improve our hiring results.

You'll Help Shape Our Future Workforce. We're investing in relationships with schools, technical colleges, and workforce organizations to create new opportunities for people interested in skilled manufacturing careers.

You'll Have Room to Make an Impact. As part of a small HR team, your ideas and contributions will matter. You'll work closely with the HR Manager to improve recruiting practices, strengthen onboarding, and support employee development initiatives.

You'll Be Part of a Growing Company. Strohwig is continuing to invest in its people, equipment, and capabilities. You'll play an important role in helping us find the employees who will support that growth.
