About Primordial Labs

We're building the next generation interface for commanding autonomous systems in the real world. Our core product, Anura, translates spoken or typed intent into structured actions across drones, sensors, and mission software—enabling faster, more intuitive control in high-stakes environments. We’re a distributed team of engineers, operators, and technologists focused on deploying reliable autonomy at the tactical edge.

The Opportunity

Primordial Labs is hiring a Recruiter to own full-cycle hiring as our team grows. Every person you bring in shapes how fast Anura reaches the warfighters who use it. You'll report to our Head of People and run searches across engineering, field operations, program management, and business functions.

This role is for a recruiter who already knows how to run a search end to end and wants more ownership than a large company allows. You'll manage your own requisitions, partner directly with hiring managers and founders, and help shape how a fully remote defense tech company finds and hires great people. You’ll be our first dedicated recruiter on the team.

What You'll Do

Full-Cycle Recruiting

Own requisitions from intake through accepted offer for technical and non-technical roles.
Screen candidates for skills, motivation, and fit with a remote, mission-driven team.
Coordinate interview loops, gather structured feedback, and keep decisions moving.
Extend offers in partnership with the Head of People, and close candidates with clear, honest communication.

Sourcing & Pipeline

Proactively source passive candidates through referrals, veteran networks, and industry communities.
Build pipelines for recurring and hard-to-fill and niche roles before they open.
Write and refresh job postings that sound like Primordial Labs, not every other defense company.

Hiring Manager Partnership

Run intake meetings to define what success in each role looks like, including must-haves vs. nice-to-haves.
Advise hiring managers on market conditions, compensation expectations, and realistic timelines.
Ability to identify and proactively troubleshoot roadblocks in a hiring process
Help interviewers run consistent, fair, and well-structured interviews.

Candidate Experience

Keep every candidate informed at every stage, including those we don't hire.
Represent our mission, culture, and remote work model accurately and with enthusiasm.
Make sure the process feels organized and respectful from first contact to offer.

Process & Data

Keep our applicant tracking system accurate and up to date for every requisition.
Track and report pipeline health, time to fill, and source effectiveness to the Head of People.
Suggest practical improvements to how we recruit as the team grows.

About You

Experience

3 to 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, in-house, agency, or both.
A track record of independently managing multiple requisitions at once, from intake to close.
Experience recruiting for technical roles such as software, robotics, or systems engineering.
Hands-on experience with at least one applicant tracking system.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Skills

Strong sourcing skills, including Boolean search and creative outreach to passive candidates.
Solid understanding of recruiting processes, interview design, and offer negotiation.
Clear, warm written and verbal communication with candidates and hiring managers.
Highly organized, operates with a sense of urgency, and follows through to keep many searches moving at once.
Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
