The Director of Recruitment and Retention supports the mission and strategic priorities of the Lubin School of Business by leading initiatives that attract, enroll, and retain high-quality undergraduate and graduate students. The Director develops and implements comprehensive recruitment, enrollment, student success, employer engagement, and career readiness strategies that strengthen Lubin's market position, enhance the student experience, and improve enrollment, retention, graduation, internship, and job placement outcomes.

Working collaboratively with the Dean, Associate Deans, department chairs, faculty, Enrollment Management, Marketing and Communications, Career Services, Alumni Relations, and Student Affairs, the Director serves as a key member of the Dean's leadership team, contributing to strategic planning, enrollment management, employer partnerships, and student engagement initiatives that advance the School's long-term goals.

Position Duties

Develops and supports recruitment strategies for undergraduate, graduate, international, transfer, and non-degree programs in collaboration with the Dean’s Office, Admissions, Enrollment Management, and Marketing.
Coordinates recruitment and yield activities, including events across both campuses requiring periodic weekend attendance.
Monitors enrollment trends and works with academic leadership on enrollment planning and course scheduling.
Develops and supports retention and student success initiatives, including outreach to at-risk, transfer, stop-out, and former students.
Works with faculty, Academic Advising, Career Services, and Student Affairs to support students from enrollment through graduation.
Coordinates student engagement activities, including orientation, student organizations, graduate student programming, case competitions, industry speakers, networking events, and experiential learning opportunities.
Coordinates student awards and recognition programs with the Dean’s Office and Academic Advising.
Manages graduate student activities and related event budgets, logistics, and invoices.
Develops relationships with employers and alumni to support internships, employment, mentoring, guest speakers, and other student opportunities.
Supports Lubin advisory boards and follows up on commitments related to students, internships, scholarships, mentoring, and employer engagement.
Supports the coordination of internship activities across departments and University partners.
Tracks and reports on enrollment, retention, graduation, internship, and employment outcomes to support planning, rankings, accreditation, and continuous improvement.
Assists with AACSB accreditation, assessment, summer programming, and other School-wide strategic initiatives.
Represents Lubin on relevant University committees and cross-functional initiatives.

Performs other such duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Supervision Exercised

Supervises graduate assistants, student workers, interns, and other personnel as assigned.

Position Qualifications

Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in higher education recruitment, enrollment management, student success, employer relations, career services, or related administrative leadership.
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing recruitment and retention strategies that improve enrollment, student success, internship, and employment outcomes.
Experience building partnerships with employers, alumni, and industry stakeholders preferred.
Experience working collaboratively with faculty, academic leadership, admissions, advising, Career Services, and student affairs.
Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting enrollment, retention, student success, and career outcome data to inform strategic decisions.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using CRM, student information, and enrollment management systems preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional initiatives.
Knowledge of Banner and Degree Works preferred.

Work Hours

Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend hours are required to support recruitment events, student programming, employer engagement activities, alumni events, and other School initiatives. New York City campuses with travel between campuses and attendance at external recruitment, employer, alumni, and partnership events, as needed.
