About the Role

We are looking for a Talent & Employee Experience Specialist who loves finding great people and helping create a workplace where employees feel connected, valued and excited to be here.

This is a role for someone who likes to build, experiment and make things better. You’ll have room to bring new ideas, try modern approaches and improve how we recruit, onboard and engage employees. If you see a better way to do something, we want to hear it.

You’ll play a key role in recruiting across the organization while supporting onboarding, engagement and the overall employee experience. We take the work seriously, but we also want work to feel human, collaborative and fun.

Why This Role Is Different

At the OFJCC, we believe HR is at the heart of the organization.

We want to work with great people, create employee experiences that make team members feel valued and appreciated, and build smarter systems along the way.

This role is a bridge between talent acquisition and employee experience. We are looking for an experienced HR professional who has a passion for recruiting and building pipelines, thrives on creating memorable employee experiences and has the drive to make meaningful system improvements.

We do not want someone who simply posts jobs and processes applicants. We want someone who turns recruiting challenges into better hiring systems.

What You’ll Own

Build and run the recruiting process from sourcing through offer, with a strong focus on candidate quality, speed and experience.
Create sustainable talent pipelines through schools, job boards, social media, community outreach, professional networks, referrals and other recruiting partnerships.
Support the employee experience through onboarding, orientation, recognition programs, engagement and communications that strengthen connection and retention.
Use recruiting and engagement data to understand patterns, make better decisions and focus efforts where they will have the greatest impact.
Use AI, automation and technology to streamline processes and build smarter, more scalable systems while staying current on recruiting and engagement trends.
Continuously improve the employee lifecycle by looking for ways to make each stage more thoughtful, efficient and meaningful.

You’ll Thrive Here If…

You think beyond job postings. You build and maintain talent pipelines, relationships and recruiting partnerships before there is an opening.
You love the hunt for great talent. You enjoy sourcing, networking and landing strong candidates.
You are a builder and a doer. You are just as comfortable reaching out to candidates and moving a search forward as you are improving the system behind it.
You think beyond engagement scores. You want to help build a workplace where people feel connected to the organization and to one another.
You know great employee experiences are built intentionally. Events matter, but so do communication, recognition, growth, trust and connection.
You bring ideas. You are curious, willing to experiment and comfortable saying, “There may be a better way to do this.”
You think in systems. You spot patterns and fix what is not working.
AI and automation are already part of how you solve problems. You use technology to improve candidate and employee experiences.
You are a problem solver. You like owning work from idea through implementation while keeping the user experience front and center.

What You Bring

3–6 years of progressive HR or talent experience, with meaningful responsibility for recruiting and employee experience work.
A track record of building talent pipelines, improving hiring processes and solving hard-to-fill recruiting challenges.
Strong partnership skills with hiring managers, including the ability to ask good questions, challenge assumptions and help shape better hiring decisions.
Experience supporting or improving employee experience initiatives that strengthen connection, engagement and retention.
The ability to use data and recruiting insights to identify patterns, improve outcomes and guide decisions.
Experience with third-party platforms, including ATS, HRIS, sourcing tools and digital recruiting platforms.
Demonstrated use of AI and automation to improve work, increase efficiency and create a better candidate or employee experience.
Strong judgment, communication and execution skills, with the ability to take ideas and turn them into action.
SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus.
