We're building our Talent Acquisition function now, and we're looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner to be one of its first senior hires. This isn't a high-volume desk. You'll own an assigned portfolio of searches end to end and be measured on hiring outcomes. You'll act as a true talent business partner to VPs and department heads: challenging requirements, designing the interview process, and closing offers, while directing a dedicated sourcing and screening team that includes offshore sourcers.

Luminize and Coastal Trading Ventures (CTV) operate as two halves of the same business. Luminize is the front-end Amazon growth partner, headquartered in San Diego, CA, driving strategy, advertising, and brand management. CTV is the back-end physical engine in Fort Worth, TX, running warehousing, inventory, and fulfillment. Your portfolio will include roles for both, from corporate and executive hires in San Diego to operations and supply chain leaders in Fort Worth. This role is based onsite at our San Diego office, no travel is required.

🎯 What You'll Be Doing

Serve as the single point of accountability to hiring managers for a portfolio of requisitions, owning outcomes from intake through acceptance
Lead structured intake meetings, define a measurable success profile and 90-day scorecard for each role, and commit to time-to-slate and time-to-fill targets
Bring market intelligence on talent availability, competitors, and compensation into hiring manager conversations, and push back on requirements or pay bands the market won't support
Design the interview loop: stage-by-stage questions, panel assignments, and each interviewer's focus area
Direct Sourcer and Screener activity on your searches, including offshore sourcing capacity, and brief agency partners when needed
Grade work samples against written rubrics, run calibration sessions after the first slate, and facilitate scorecard-led debriefs that end in a written decision
Own offer strategy and negotiation, build close plans, defend against counteroffers, and hand off a 30/60/90 ramp plan to the hiring manager
Build scorecards, interview frameworks, and training materials used across the company, and mentor junior recruiters as the team grows

✅ What You Bring

5+ years of recruiting experience, with real depth in interview design: success profiles, competency-based interview guides, scorecards, and evaluation rubrics that other interviewers use
Experience designing structured interview loops end to end and running debriefs to a documented decision
A track record as a talent business partner to senior stakeholders, advising on role design and measured on hiring outcomes
Demonstrated success hiring at the Director level and above
Experience directing sourcing and screening resources, including offshore or vendor-supplied teams, rather than doing all of it yourself
Strong offer negotiation and closing skills, including complex compensation conversations
Advanced skills with an ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, and talent intelligence tools, plus a data-driven approach to funnel metrics (Excel/Google Sheets)
Working knowledge of California and multi-state employment law, EEO compliance, and pay transparency requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience
Nice to have: SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent certification; recruiting experience in eCommerce, marketplace, supply chain, or high-growth agency environments

💵 Compensation Transparency

We've listed a broad salary range of $100,000 to $150,000 a year to account for different levels of experience, skill sets, and leadership depth. Where you land depends on how your background aligns with the role. We compensate based on value and impact, not just years on paper, and we're happy to talk openly about it throughout the process.
