Company Overview

JGM is a national, self-perform industrial contractor and structural steel fabricator, built to take on the fast-track, high-complexity projects other companies turn away. Founded in 2001 and still family-led today, JGM operates AISC- and ASME-certified fabrication shops in Coatesville and Sinking Spring, PA, plus a national Construction Services team performing erection, rigging, hauling, and industrial construction for Fortune 500 clients across power generation, pharmaceutical, mining, steel and metals, infrastructure, and manufacturing.

We don't subcontract our workforce. We build it, direct-hire, from the shop floor to the field to the front office. Safety comes first in every role at JGM, not just on the job site, because taking care of our people is something we'll never compromise on. With real apprenticeship and leadership programs behind every role, JGM offers more than a job: it's a career with a company where family is our foundation and whatever it takes is how we get it done.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Due to several large projects spanning our shop and field teams JGM is looking for a temporary Talent Acquisition Specialist to own the front end of our skilled-trades hiring pipeline — ironworkers, welders, fitters, laborers, and related field and shop roles. This role is the first real conversation a candidate has with JGM: you'll prescreen applicants against a standardized question set, confirm safety and compliance readiness, and package clean, consistent summaries that our experienced recruiters and hiring managers use to make the final hiring decision. Once a candidate is selected, you'll also handle the offer process and get their information into our systems correctly the first time.

This is a 5 day a week, in office role, in Coatesville PA estimated through mid-March, with lunch provided very other Friday.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Candidate Prescreening: Conduct structured phone/video prescreens for trades applicants using JGM's standardized question set for each role (ironworker, welder, fitter, laborer, etc.), covering certifications, experience, availability, pay expectations, and work eligibility. Must e comfortable contacting 20-30 candidates a day. This is not a "post and pray" recruiting role. The candidate flow is constant but is constantly moving so high-volume calling is critical to success in the role
Safety Questionnaire: Send the safety questionnaire to every qualified candidate early in the process, track completion, and flag any responses that raise safety, compliance, or fit concerns before the candidate advances.
Prescreen Summaries: Write clear, consistent prescreen summaries for each candidate — highlighting certifications, experience, safety questionnaire results, and any red flags — and route them to experienced recruiters and hiring managers so they can make an informed hiring decision quickly.
Offer Process: Prepare and extend verbal and written offers once a hiring decision is made, coordinate start dates and pay/benefits details with the hiring manager and follow up until the offer is accepted or declined.
Resume & Data Entry: Enter candidate resumes, prescreen notes, and offer status into the applicant tracking system (BambooHR) accurately and on the same day they're received, so the pipeline stays current for the whole team.
Candidate Experience: Keep candidates informed and engaged at every step — timely responses, clear next steps, and professionalism — even for candidates who aren't moving forward.
Collaboration: Work closely with experienced recruiters and hiring managers to keep the standardized question sets and safety questionnaire current as role requirements evolve.
Reporting: Tracks prescreen volume, pass-through rates, and time-to-summary, and report on pipeline health to the recruiting team.
Training: Manage candidate training assignments and follow up through completion of OSHA 10 and all required Safety Skills training.
Pre-employment: Manage candidate background checks and coordinate required drug screenings.
Additional administrative projects as needed.
