Most AI companies are building copilots.
Hyphenate is building the AI operating system for the CFO office. Our Audit-Ready AI Agents connect to a company’s existing finance stack—ERPs, banks, billing, payroll, CRM, contracts, spreadsheets, email, and Slack—and automate the work behind order to cash, record to report, treasury management, financial reporting, and audit readiness.
The goal is for finance teams to review exceptions while AI does the rest.
What makes Hyphenate different is our Unified Finance Context—a financial understanding layer that captures transactions, policies, contracts, historical decisions, and accounting judgment. On top of it sit Audit-Ready AI Agents that can reason, explain their decisions, escalate uncertainty, and continuously improve.
We’ve raised $9M led by Foundation Capital, alongside BoldCap, Gaia Ventures, Aravind Srinivas (CEO of Perplexity), and finance leaders from Zuora, Ramp, Gusto, MongoDB, Zoom, and the Big Four.

As our first in-house sourcing hire, you’ll build the talent pipelines that power Hyphenate’s next stage of growth as we prepare for our Series A. You’ll help us find and engage the engineers who will build Hyphenate, creating a consistent pipeline of exceptional talent and reducing our reliance on external agencies.
Your primary focus will be software engineering hiring, spanning early-career, mid-level, senior, and staff engineers, with additional support for product roles. You’ll own the sourcing process from talent research and personalized outreach through initial candidate conversations and handoff to the hiring team.
This is a hands-on role for someone who combines research instincts, excellent communication, and the persistence to turn a promising profile into a meaningful conversation.

Build targeted talent pipelines. Partner with founders and hiring managers to understand hiring priorities, define candidate personas, and identify people who meet our technical and cultural bar.
Run outbound sourcing across channels. Find and engage candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, sourcing platforms, research, referrals, communities, and cold-email campaigns.
Write outreach that earns a response. Create personalized emails, LinkedIn messages, and follow-up sequences that communicate why Hyphenate and why this opportunity.
Operate with pace and precision. Reach approximately 50–100 newly shortlisted candidates daily across channels and manage 75–100+ daily cold-email sends, including campaign follow-ups, while maintaining thoughtful targeting and message quality.
Bring the opportunity to life. Lead initial conversations, explain our mission and engineering challenges, understand candidates’ motivations, and build interest in the team.
Build our talent CRM. Maintain organized, searchable candidate databases with clear records of outreach, engagement, fit, and future hiring potential.
Find new sources of talent. Experiment with cold calling, community partnerships, meetups, and recruiting events in New York.
Improve the sourcing engine. Track response rates, qualified conversations, and pipeline conversion, then use the results and hiring-team feedback to sharpen your approach.
