General Purpose

As a Recruiter within the Healthcare and Social Assistance industry, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, attracting, and securing top talent to meet the organization's staffing needs. Your efforts will directly impact the quality of care and services provided by ensuring that the right professionals are placed in the right roles. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing candidates through various channels to coordinating interviews and facilitating offers. Collaboration with hiring managers and department leaders will be essential to understand workforce requirements and develop effective recruitment strategies. Ultimately, your work will contribute to building a skilled, diverse, and motivated workforce that supports the organization's mission and growth objectives.

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates for clinical and non-clinical positions.
Utilize Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to track candidate progress and maintain accurate recruitment records.
Develop and execute targeted recruitment strategies, including college recruiting, internet recruiting, social media outreach, and participation in recruiting events to build a strong talent pipeline.
Coordinate contract and temporary staffing efforts to meet fluctuating workforce demands while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations.
Collaborate with hiring managers to understand role requirements and provide guidance on market trends, candidate availability, and competitive compensation.
Build and maintain relationships with educational institutions, professional organizations, workforce development agencies, and community partners.
Conduct candidate reference checks, employment verifications, and pre-employment screening coordination.
Track recruitment metrics and provide regular updates on hiring activity, time-to-fill, candidate pipelines, and workforce trends.
Promote the organization's employment brand and employee value proposition to attract high-quality candidates.
Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.

Qualifications

Regular and reliable attendance is required to perform the essential functions of this position.
Proven experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and managing full-cycle recruitment processes.
Demonstrated knowledge of staffing services and technical recruiting within a healthcare or social assistance environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage candidates and internal stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
Familiarity with contract recruitment and temporary staffing practices.
Experience with college recruiting and organizing recruiting events to attract emerging talent.
Background in internet recruiting and leveraging social media platforms for candidate sourcing.
Certification in recruitment or human resources (e.g., AIRS, SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
Understanding of healthcare industry regulations and compliance standards related to staffing.
Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare or social assistance setting.
