About this opportunity

The Project Manager – Talent Acquisition will lead initiatives that improve recruiting operations, streamline processes, and enhance the candidate and hiring team experience. This role will manage projects from planning through implementation, partnering with Talent Acquisition, HR, and cross-functional teams to identify process gaps, implement solutions, and improve efficiency. This role will also partner with external vendors.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong project management and follow-through skills. This role will optimize talent acquisition systems and workflows, and ensure clear communication and accountability across stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management: Lead Talent Acquisition projects from concept through launch, developing project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Project Execution: Translate business needs into actionable plans, manage priorities and dependencies, and drive projects to completion.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate cross-functional teams, align stakeholders, clarify responsibilities, and maintain accountability for outcomes.
Project Governance: Establish project structure, success measures, communication plans, and reporting to provide visibility into progress, risks, and decisions.
Risk & Issue Management: Identify and address risks, roadblocks, and dependencies, developing solutions to keep projects on track.
Process Improvement: Identify and lead opportunities to improve Talent Acquisition processes, workflows, systems, and operational efficiency.
Vendor Management: Manage vendor-related projects, including timelines, deliverables, performance, communication, and issue resolution.
Data & Analysis: Use data to prioritize initiatives, measure results, identify opportunities, and support decision-making.
Change Management: Lead the implementation and adoption of new processes, tools, and workflows to ensure sustainable results.

Location and Schedule

This is a full-time, office-based position in a modern, cozy environment in our Troy, MI office.
Our standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Skills & Qualifications

Preferred Hard Skills

Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of project management experience, preferably in a Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, or Operations environment.
Talent Acquisition Operations experience strongly preferred, with an understanding of recruiting processes, workflows, and best practices.
Proven ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement scalable, efficient solutions.
Experience working with recruiting systems, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
Strong vendor management skills, including relationship management, contract coordination, and performance monitoring.
Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation, with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
Experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks while ensuring project objectives, timelines, and deliverables are achieved.
Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
