LSI's dynamic and experienced Foster Care and Adoption team is looking for a compassionate, dedicated Occasional RecruitmentRetention Specialist to make an impact in the lives of Iowa children and families in our Northern Iowa service (serving clients in the Mason City area in collaboration with Fort Dodge Four Oaks partners).

Our Foster Care and Adoption services empower families and keep kids safe by recruiting, licensing, and supporting foster and adoptive parents in more than 30 western Iowa counties. What You'll Do

The RecruitmentRetention Specialist is responsible for the recruitment of quality foster and adoptive families in western Iowa. It is important for this role to recruit families that reflect the race, ethnicity, and culture of the children coming into care. The RecruitmentRetention Specialist will also play a key role in retaining families and will lead a mentor program for foster parents.

The person in this role will work closely with LSI's Marketing and Communications team to leverage expertise with the RecruitmentRetention Specialist's on-the-ground efforts. This role is also responsible for engaging current foster or adoptive families to assist with family-to-family recruitment and raising awareness about the need for more foster and adoptive families in Iowa.

What You'll Need

Qualified candidates for this job will have a high school diploma and a minimum of two years experience in child welfare services. Preferred applicants will have a bachelor's degree in social work, human services, human resource management or a related field. Experience with customer service and recruitment is highly desired.

The RecruitmentRetention Specialist must have the ability to communicate effectively and possess the skills, energy, and desire to reach out and collaborate with numerous entities like media, faith communities, and families to increase the number of quality licensed foster and approved adoptive homes.

This position requires a valid driver's license, auto insurance, a good driving record, and the ability to pass an extensive background check, including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, the Sex Offender registry, and the criminal history check.
