JOB SUMMARY

Works with the Hospital Authority of Miller County’s Human Resources Department to create and deliver effective campaigns and communication (including social media) to promote brand, reputation management, new employment option launches and overall employee value proposition. Tracks, collects, analyzes, and communicates market, consumer, and competitor intelligence to support recruitment of staff. Conducts campus tours for prospective candidates and serves as a concierge through the hiring experience.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the mission and vision of the organization.
  • Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs).
  • Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
  • Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content and engage with diverse audiences.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for public speaking and visual communication.
  • Understanding of healthcare terminology, ethics, and patient privacy regulations (HIPPA compliance is essential).
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to take the initiative and proactively identify opportunities for content creation, engagement, and collaboration.
  • Ability to communicate in English, additional languages preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.
  • May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights.

  • Have near normal hearing: Hear alarms/telephone/normal speaking voice.

  • Continuously within shift (67-100%): Standing, Walking.

  • Occasionally within shift (1-33%): Sitting, Climbing, Twist at waist, Lift/Carry greater than 50 lbs. with assistance, Reaching above shoulder.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

  • Identify, screen and hire talent for the Hospital Authority of Miller County.
  • Use technology-based (including social media) search and sourcing techniques.
  • Create and maintain social media channels, owned and approved by HAMC, to assist in the recruitment and retention of staff.
  • Partner with marketing, recruitment and other leaders to develop an aligned social strategy.
  • Resolve and troubleshoot problems in recruiting, hiring and onboarding skilled staff, clinical and non-clinical.
  • Communicate potential list of candidates to Human Resources and departments with staff needs.
  • Attend, conduct and organize recruitment events and job fairs.
  • Work in conjunction with regional school system, technical schools and colleges to help develop curriculum and provide enriched internship/clinical experience.
  • Engage instructors and students to identify and develop potential candidates for employment.
  • Give campus tours to prospective candidates.
  • Act as an employment experience concierge through a candidate’s hiring journey.
  • Must be able to gather data regarding recruitment and retention strategies and present to Administration.
  • Study organization plans and goals and meet managers to discuss needs to develop recruiting requirements.
  • Make presentations, maintain rapport and offer information and benefits.
  • Attract applications through job advertisements, newsgroups and job sites.
  • Achieve human resources mission by hiring appropriately.
  • Identify and execute recruiting techniques for industry, market, skills set and region.
  • Review market condition and ensure stated skills and experience authenticity.
  • Cross trained in application management, new hire orientation and on-boarding process.
  • Participate in engagement activities.
  • Work strategically with HR team and other managers to attract, recruit, hire, on-board and retain staff.

Requirements

EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Previous recruitment experience preferred.
  • Social media/marketing experience required.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) skills; ability to communicate and interact effectively and appropriately with diverse backgrounds and levels of the organization
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other HR technology tools.
