Senior Talent Acquisition Partner

Supply Chain | Sales | Finance | Corporate Functional Areas

HYBRID | PLANO, TEXAS

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment sponsorship.

This position does not support IT or technical recruiting. We are specifically seeking experience recruiting across corporate and business functions.

Build the Teams That Power Sonepar USA

Great recruiting is about more than filling an open position. It is about understanding the business, knowing where to find exceptional talent, and creating partnerships that help leaders build stronger teams.

Sonepar USA is seeking an experienced Senior Talent Acquisition Partner to join our Talent Acquisition team.

This is a highly consultative, sourcing-intensive recruiting role supporting professional and leadership hiring across supply chain, sales, finance and other corporate functional areas. You'll own searches from launch through candidate selection and acceptance while partnering directly with hiring managers, HR Business Partners and business leaders.

This is not a high-volume, transactional recruiting role.

We are looking for someone who enjoys the search. Someone who can learn a business, understand what makes a role unique, map the competitive talent landscape, find people who may not be actively looking, and turn market insight into an effective recruiting strategy.

What You'll Do

Lead full lifecycle recruiting across assigned professional and leadership searches, from launch and sourcing strategy through candidate acceptance and handoff.
Partner directly with hiring managers, HR Business Partners and business leaders to understand business needs, define success profiles and establish focused recruiting strategies.
Spend significant time proactively identifying and engaging passive talent through LinkedIn Recruiter, direct sourcing, talent mapping, referrals, networking, competitive research and other sourcing channels.
Build an understanding of the functions and businesses you support so you can effectively represent Sonepar and the opportunity to prospective candidates.
Conduct thoughtful candidate assessments and competency-based interviews that go beyond the resume.
Present focused, high-quality candidate slates and provide hiring leaders with clear insights to support selection decisions.
Bring market intelligence to the conversation, including talent availability, competitive hiring activity, compensation considerations, geography and potential search challenges.
Build and maintain proactive pipelines for recurring, specialized and future talent needs.
Manage multiple unique searches across different functions, levels and geographic markets.
Deliver a high-quality candidate experience through consistent communication, transparency and follow-through.
Use recruiting technology, data and AI-enabled tools thoughtfully to strengthen sourcing, research, market intelligence and recruiting effectiveness.
Contribute ideas and best practices that continue to strengthen talent acquisition across Sonepar USA.

What Makes This Opportunity Different

At Sonepar, you'll be expected to operate as a talent advisor, not an order taker.

You'll have the opportunity to

Work directly with business and HR leaders on important talent needs.
Recruit across multiple corporate disciplines rather than spending your day filling the same position repeatedly.
Take on challenging searches where research, sourcing and relationship-building matter.
Develop expertise in the businesses and talent markets you support.
Build talent pipelines before every need becomes an open requisition.
Bring market data and candidate insights back to leaders and help influence recruiting strategy.
Work within Sonepar's decentralized business environment while building relationships across the organization.

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

5+ years of corporate recruiting, professional search or comparable talent acquisition experience.
Demonstrated success recruiting professional and leadership-level talent.
Strong experience identifying and engaging passive candidates rather than relying primarily on applicants.
Proven ability to manage multiple professional or exempt searches simultaneously.
Experience partnering directly with hiring managers, HR Business Partners and business leaders.
Strong intake, candidate assessment, interviewing and search-calibration skills.
Demonstrated ability to research new functions, industries and talent markets and translate that information into effective sourcing strategies.
Experience using ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter and contemporary sourcing technologies.
Working knowledge of full lifecycle recruiting practices, employment law fundamentals and EEO principles.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to advise and influence stakeholders.

Experience That Will Help You Stand Out

Recruiting within distribution, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, industrial, construction or B2B environments.
Recruiting across supply chain, strategic/B2B sales, finance, accounting, legal, EH&S, HR, operations or other corporate functions.
Experience recruiting difficult-to-find professional and leadership talent.
Strong talent-mapping, competitor-research and market-intelligence capabilities.
Experience supporting decentralized, multi-state or multi-location organizations.
Experience using ATS, CRM, sourcing and AI-enabled recruiting platforms to improve search effectiveness.
A track record of building relationships with passive candidates and maintaining pipelines for future opportunities.

This Role May Be a Great Fit If You...

Get energized by finding the person who isn't already in the applicant pool.
Approach a new search by asking, What does success really look like, and where does this talent exist?
Enjoy learning unfamiliar businesses and becoming knowledgeable enough to credibly recruit for them.
Can respectfully challenge a hiring manager when market realities don't match the initial candidate profile.
Prefer a portfolio of complex, varied searches over repetitive high-volume recruiting.
Believe candidate experience and hiring-manager partnership are equally important.
Take ownership of your searches and don't wait for the business to tell you what to do next.

Why Sonepar USA?

Most importantly, you'll have room to recruit like a true talent partner: research the market, build relationships, find exceptional people and help leaders make great hiring decisions.

Ready to Help Build What's Next?

If you're a consultative recruiter who loves the hunt, knows how to engage hard-to-reach talent, and wants to have a meaningful impact on the business, we'd like to meet you.
