The Talent Partner plays an integral role across the full employee lifecycle, combining hands-on talent acquisition, employee support, HR administration, and technology-enabled process improvement. This position requires exceptional organization, speed, follow-through, and the ability to shift priorities throughout the day.
A significant portion of the role is dedicated to recruiting and proactive sourcing, including personally identifying candidates, building talent pipelines and relationships, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and managing the hiring process. The position also supports onboarding and orientation, payroll and benefits administration, temporary staffing, employee changes, compliance processes, reporting, and other Talent Success responsibilities.
Success requires someone who enjoys both building better processes and personally executing the work. The role is expected to leverage AI, automation, and HR technology wherever practical while recognizing when personal communication, judgment, and employee or candidate support are needed.
Talent Acquisition & Pipeline Development
- Personally manage full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, candidate review, interview coordination, offers, pre-employment requirements, and hiring follow-up.
- Conduct significant proactive sourcing and develop ongoing talent pools rather than relying solely on applicants from job postings.
- Build relationships with schools, trade programs, professional organizations, community partners, industry contacts, and other creative talent sources.
- Apply established screening standards and exercise appropriate judgment and autonomy when evaluating candidates.
- Partner with hiring managers and leadership to understand requirements, communicate candidate recommendations, and maintain recruiting momentum.
- Coordinate temporary staffing needs and agency relationships as required.
Employee Lifecycle & Administration
- Coordinate preboarding, onboarding, new-hire orientation, employee changes, and offboarding.
- Support payroll and benefits administration, including required employee and system data entry.
- Maintain accurate employee information, documentation, HRIS records, and compliance-related processes.
- Provide frequent follow-up with candidates, employees, managers, vendors, and internal partners to ensure activities are completed accurately and timely.
- Assist with executive scheduling, Talent Success projects, employee communications, and other administrative responsibilities.
- Provide responsive individual support when employee or manager needs require personal attention.
Technology, AI & Process Improvement
- Use AI, ATS, HRIS, and automation to improve sourcing, recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, payroll, benefits, reporting, and administrative workflows.
- Identify repetitive manual work that can be simplified or automated while maintaining appropriate controls and human oversight.
- Support and optimize platforms including Ashby, ADP, Paylocity, and other Talent Success technology.
- Use recruiting and employee data to identify gaps, improve processes, and support decision-making.

- Comfort moving between candidate sourcing, interviews, employee questions, system administration, onboarding, compliance tasks, scheduling, and unexpected priorities throughout the day.

Qualifications
- 3+ years of progressive recruiting, HR operations, employee experience, or HR generalist experience; additional experience may support Manager-level consideration.
- Strong hands-on full-cycle recruiting and proactive sourcing experience.
- Experience managing multiple simultaneous recruiting and administrative priorities.
- Strong technology aptitude and demonstrated use of AI, automation, ATS, HRIS, or related technology.
- ADP, Paylocity, and/or Ashby experience preferred.
- Excellent organization, communication, problem-solving, and follow-through.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience; HR or recruiting certification preferred.
