Overview
Linus Media Group is looking for a Talent & Culture Partner to join our Talent & Culture (T&C) team and help build an employee experience that works for both our people and the business.
This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You'll work closely with the Manager, Talent & Culture to execute key people programs, support managers and employees, and help make sure our Talent & Culture processes are clear, consistent, and actually work in practice.
You'll have the opportunity to own meaningful areas of Talent & Culture, from performance management and manager coaching to recruitment and the employee lifecycle. We're looking for someone who can take a priority, figure out how to move it forward, and see it through from planning to execution.
We're a growing media, product, and tech company, which means not every people process is perfectly figured out yet. You'll need to be comfortable with some ambiguity, bring practical ideas, and be willing to get into the details while keeping the bigger picture in mind.
This role is designed for someone who has built a solid foundation in HR and is ready for more ownership and independence.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Employee Experience & Lifecycle
- Own and continuously improve key parts of the employee experience, from onboarding through offboarding
- Coordinate and improve onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure employees have a clear and consistent experience
- Act as a trusted point of contact for employees with day-to-day Talent & Culture questions
- Support employee engagement initiatives, company events, and other culture-focused programs
- Identify opportunities to make the employee experience simpler, clearer, and more effective
- Gather feedback from employees and managers and turn it into practical improvements
Recruitment & Talent
- Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and define effective recruitment plans
- Drive recruitment processes from intake through offer, keeping hiring managers and candidates informed and accountable
- Support managers with interview structure, candidate assessment, and hiring decisions
- Manage candidate communication and help ensure a positive candidate experience
- Maintain organized and accurate recruitment data and reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve how we attract, assess, and hire talent
HR Operations & Systems
- Maintain accurate employee information and documentation across our HR systems
- Support the ongoing administration and improvement of our HRIS (BambooHR) and other Talent & Culture tools
- Prepare HR reports and data to support decision-making
- Coordinate with Payroll and Finance on employee changes and related processes
- Ensure core HR processes are completed accurately, consistently, and on time
- Maintain clear documentation and tracking so that important details don't fall through the cracks
People Programs & Continuous Improvement
- Take ownership of assigned Talent & Culture programs from planning through execution
- Help turn broader T&C priorities into practical processes, tools, and programs
- Identify where existing processes aren't working and recommend practical solutions
- Lead implementation of process improvements and follow through on results
- Use employee and manager feedback, data, and day-to-day observations to identify opportunities for improvement
- Bring forward ideas and recommendations rather than waiting for direction on every detail
What Success Looks Like
- Talent & Culture programs are delivered reliably and don't stall after the planning stage
- You identify problems early and take ownership of helping solve them
- Managers feel supported and have someone they can rely on for practical people guidance
- HR systems, data, and processes are accurate and well-maintained
- Over time, you build the judgment, breadth, and confidence to take on increasingly complex T&C work
What You Bring
- 4 - 7 years of progressive experience in HR, Talent/People & Culture, People Operations, or a related field
- Experience independently owning or driving people programs from planning through execution
- Experience supporting managers with performance management, employee relations, or other people-related situations
- Strong understanding of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
- Experience managing recruitment processes and partnering with hiring managers
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
- Ability to build trust with both employees and managers
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change
