About the Role

The Talent Acquisition Specialist runs full-cycle recruiting at Carnegie, from first outreach through offer acceptance. You’ll partner with hiring managers to define what a role needs, find and engage the right people, and keep candidates informed and supported at every step. This role sits at the front door of the company, so the experience you create shapes how people see Carnegie before they ever start. Along the way, you’ll share what you’re seeing in the market to help leaders plan ahead. You’ll also help shape the tools and processes behind how Carnegie hires, including AI and a new applicant tracking system.

What You’ll Own

  • Sourcing & Pipeline
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, success profiles, and search strategy, build interview rubrics and candidate assignments, and keep them updated throughout
  • Source and engage qualified candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, social platforms, networking, and direct outreach
  • Run structured screenings based on the competencies agreed on with the hiring manager
  • Share pipeline data and recruiting insights that inform workforce planning
  • Interview & Candidate Experience
  • Coordinate interviews and keep each search moving on a clear timeline
  • Communicate with candidates consistently at every stage of the process
  • Represent Carnegie’s culture and values in every candidate interaction
  • Spot bottlenecks in the process and fix them so hiring stays on pace
  • Offers & Handoff
  • Conduct reference checks and prepare and extend offer letters in line with approved compensation
  • Work with internal teams to make the move from offer to start date a smooth one
  • Follow federal, state, and local employment law across every search, from screening through offer
  • Answer questions from employees and managers on hiring and onboarding
  • Systems & Process
  • Keep candidate records accurate in Asana, and help set up and maintain an applicant tracking system (ATS) as Carnegie adopts one
  • Use AI tools to speed up routine recruiting work, like drafting outreach, prepping screens, and summarizing candidate notes
  • Support employer branding through social content and job postings
  • Improve recruiting processes, documentation, templates, workflows, and job descriptions

What You Bring

  • Six months or more of experience in recruiting, inside sales, HR, administrative, or a related role, or a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Talent acquisition experience strongly preferred; new grads who are eager to learn the full recruiting cycle are encouraged to apply
  • Experience in a fast-paced or high-volume environment is a plus
  • Working knowledge of interviewing best practices, talent evaluation, and candidate assessment
  • Working knowledge of EEO, ADA, and other relevant employment laws
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including structured screenings and clear updates to candidates and hiring managers
  • Ability to run multiple searches at once and hit deadlines without losing track of details
  • High level of organization and attention to detail, with accurate documentation practices
  • Ability to work independently with strong follow-through
  • Discretion with confidential and sensitive information
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Drive)
  • Experience with Asana or similar project management tools preferred
  • Experience with an applicant tracking system a plus
  • Comfort using AI tools to work faster and stay organized
  • Comfort in a remote environment, including digital communication, time management, and picking up new platforms quickly. Expect to spend roughly 50% to 75% of the workday in virtual meetings.
  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods

Why This Role
