About Us
The human brain is the most complex object in the universe, yet society had accepted one-size-fits all approaches to cognition. The “solutions” (think coffee, energy drinks, and even a friend’s rx) were mediocre at best and frankly, made no sense to us. So, we created Thesis, the world’s first customized nootropics company. If you’ve never heard that word before, it’s just a fancy way of saying brain supplements. In five years, most will be taking nootropics on the daily and chances are, they’ll be ours.
With an exceptional efficacy rate, the world has taken notice — we’ve raised over $14M in venture capital, garnered interest from leading neuroscientists and athletes, and established ourselves as the industry’s leading brand. Now, we’re looking for incredible people to help us share the gift of enhanced cognitive function with the world. If you’re looking to be a part of a movement — one that involves both immense self-growth and an ambitious mission to pioneer an industry — we’d love to have you on the team.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist who knows how to find great people, keep hiring moving, and use AI to make the People team more effective. Recruiting is the core of this role, with hands-on support across HR, employee engagement and events, and office management.
You’ll partner closely with the VP of People and hiring managers to turn business needs into strong candidate pipelines and thoughtful hiring decisions. Beyond recruiting, you’ll help new hires get off to a great start, bring the team together, and keep our New York office running smoothly.
AI is a central part of the job. We want someone who already uses tools like ChatGPT or Claude, experiments with better workflows, and can show how their work improves as a result. You’ll have room to build practical automations, take ownership, and grow across the People function.
How You'll Make an Impact
Recruiting and Talent Acquisition
- Own day-to-day recruiting across multiple searches, from kickoff and sourcing through interviews, offer coordination, and accepted offers.
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, build structured interview plans, and calibrate what strong candidates look like.
- Find and engage talent through LinkedIn, referrals, targeted research, and creative outbound sourcing. Build pipelines rather than relying only on inbound applications.
- Conduct thoughtful candidate screens, coordinate interviews, and drive timely feedback and follow-through from hiring teams.
- Deliver a responsive, personal candidate experience. Keep candidates informed and help communicate why the opportunity is right for them.
- Keep Greenhouse accurate and use funnel conversion, source quality, time in stage, and offer acceptance data to identify bottlenecks and improve hiring.
AI and Workflow Automation
- Use AI daily to research talent markets, develop sourcing strategies, personalize outreach, and prepare role-specific interview guides.
- Build reusable prompts, templates, and lightweight automations for recruiting updates, interview coordination, onboarding checklists, and People documentation.
- Turn recruiting data into clear reporting and recommended next actions. Check AI outputs against source information before sharing or acting on them.
- Test new tools, measure time saved and quality improvements, and document the workflows that work so others can use them.
- Protect candidate and employee information by using approved tools and appropriate data safeguards. Keep assessments job-related and hiring decisions human-led.
HR and People Operations
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding, including paperwork, orientation schedules, system requests, and clear handoffs with managers and IT.
- Support employee records, HR systems, benefits administration, and routine employee questions with accuracy and discretion; escalate sensitive issues to the VP of People.
- Help execute performance and engagement programs, maintain People documentation, and improve recurring processes so fewer details fall through the cracks.
Events and Employee Engagement
- Help plan and run team events, celebrations, all-hands gatherings, and other experiences that build connection across the company.
- Coordinate vendors, invitations, logistics, and spending within agreed budgets, with thoughtful details and reliable follow-through.
- Gather employee feedback and turn it into practical improvements, including ways for remote teammates to participate.
Office Management
- Keep our New York office organized, welcoming, and ready for the team, candidates, and visitors.
- Coordinate supplies, deliveries, office vendors, and maintenance requests, partnering with building management and internal teams as needed.
- Support in-person interviews, new-hire workspace setup, and event logistics while staying on top of costs and recurring needs.
We're Excited About Your
- 2–4+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience, with hands-on sourcing, candidate screening, and interview-process coordination.
- A track record of managing multiple searches and building productive relationships with hiring managers. Startup, high-growth, or agency experience is a plus.
- Practical AI fluency. You can walk us through a workflow you built or improved, how you checked the output, and the difference it made. Coding is not required; curiosity and initiative are.
- Strong organization and follow-through. You can balance active searches with employee needs, an upcoming event, and office logistics without losing the details.
- Clear, warm communication and good judgment with candidates, employees, and leaders, especially when handling confidential information.
- Comfort with recruiting data and tools such as Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, Google Workspace, and Slack; experience with HR systems or no-code automation is a plus.
- Interest in contributing beyond recruiting. Prior HR, events, employee engagement, or office management experience is helpful, and you’re willing to roll up your sleeves in each area.
- Ability to work from our New York office as part of a hybrid schedule and support in-person interviews, office needs, and team events.
