Jones Bros. Contractors, LLC (Jones Bros.) is seeking a highly motivated Talent Acquisition Specialist to support the Company's recruiting, Management Training Program, and onboarding initiatives.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will primarily coordinate collegiate recruiting efforts, including candidate sourcing, career fair planning and attendance, candidate screening and interviews, offer preparation, and ongoing engagement with interns and upcoming graduates. This role will also support the administration and coordination of Jones Bros.' Management Training Program, including intern placement, logistics, evaluations, events, and participant communication.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work closely with Company leadership, Human Resources, and Marketing to support the hiring process, recruiting initiatives, and development and implementation of a consistent company-wide onboarding process. The role will also support recruiting activities at high schools, technical programs, and other workforce development events as needed.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, personable, detail-oriented, and comfortable representing Jones Bros. with students, candidates, university representatives, employees, and external partners.
DutiesResponsibilities
- Coordinate collegiate recruiting activities, including career fairs, campus visits, student organization events, classroom presentations, and other recruiting opportunities.
- Maintain an annual recruiting calendar for Jones Bros.' core universities and coordinate event registration, scheduling, travel, staffing, and materials.
- Source, screen, and interview intern and entry-level candidates and coordinate additional interviews with internal team members.
- Prepare and issue employment and internship offers following approval from designated Company leadership.
- Maintain timely communication with candidates throughout the recruiting, interview, offer, and pre-employment process.
- Support the administration and coordination of Jones Bros.' Management Training Program, including intern placement, orientation, logistics, events, evaluations, check-ins, and program communications.
- Track intern performance, supervisor feedback, staffing needs, and future employment opportunities.
- Maintain ongoing engagement with high-performing interns and underclassmen candidates to support return internships and future full-time employment.
- Coordinate university engagement activities and support Company leadership in maintaining relationships with faculty, career services departments, student organizations, and other recruiting partners.
- Coordinate with Marketing to develop and maintain recruiting materials, career fair displays, promotional items, presentations, and other recruiting collateral.
- Coordinate with Human Resources to support hiring, pre-employment activities, documentation, and employee onboarding requirements.
- Work with Company leadership, Human Resources, and Marketing to develop, standardize, and implement a consistent company-wide onboarding process.
- Coordinate onboarding schedules, materials, communications, and internal participation for new employees.
- Maintain accurate recruiting records, candidate status information, event tracking, and Management Training Program documentation.
- Support recruiting activities at high schools, technical schools, workforce development programs, and career events for candidates pursuing non-collegiate career paths.
- Represent Jones Bros. professionally at universities, career fairs, recruiting events, and other external functions.
- Support additional recruiting, employee engagement, and workforce development initiatives as needed.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, recruiting platforms, university career platforms, or HR information systems preferred.
- Interest in the construction industry and willingness to develop an understanding of heavy civil construction careers and workforce needs.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, Communications, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered.
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, human resources, university relations, marketing, communications, or a related role preferred.

- Experience with collegiate recruiting, career fairs, internship programs, university relations, or early-career talent acquisition preferred.
- Construction, engineering, or AEC industry experience preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license.
Work EnvironmentPhysical Requirements
- This is a full-time, in-office position based at the Jones Bros. Mt. Juliet, TN office, Monday through Friday.
- Jones Bros. offers flexibility in daily work schedules while working onsite.
- Travel to universities, career fairs, recruiting events, jobsites, and Company events, with heavier travel during fall and spring recruiting seasons. Travel is primarily within Tennessee and the surrounding region and is anticipated to average approximately 15–25% annually.
- Ability to stand for extended periods at career fairs, recruiting events, conferences, and other Company events.
- Ability to assist with recruiting materials, displays, promotional items, and event materials as needed.
- Flexibility to support occasional early mornings, evening events, overnight travel, and weekend recruiting activities as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation.
