The Talent Acquisition Specialist supports recruitment efforts across our Ontario dealership network and corporate functions. The successful candidate will partner closely with management to deliver end-to-end recruitment solutions, ensuring timely hiring while building strong talent pipelines to support both current and future workforce needs.
At a strategic level, the Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a critical role in driving organizational performance by attracting top talent, strengthening employer branding, improving candidate experience, and supporting workforce planning initiatives. This team contributes directly to business growth by aligning recruitment strategies with operational objectives, enhancing hiring processes, and supporting leadership with data-driven staffing insights.
The expected pay for this position is $50,000 - $60,000
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the recruitment process for dealership and regional office roles, from job posting and sourcing through screening, interviews, and offers.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and keep recruitment moving.
- Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, school and community connections, and other channels.
- Review applications, conduct phone screens, and coordinate interviews.
- Communicate with candidates throughout the process and provide timely updates.
- Build candidate pipelines for roles with recurring hiring needs.
- Prepare job postings and maintain accurate candidate records in our applicant tracking system.
- Conduct new employee orientation sessions and help new hires complete required onboarding steps.
- Support recruitment events, career fairs, and student recruitment initiatives.
- Track recruitment activity and suggest practical improvements to the hiring process and candidate experience.
What you Bring
- Experience managing multiple vacancies through the full recruitment process.
- Automotive dealership experience is strongly preferred. Experience recruiting for another fast-paced, multi-location business will also be considered.
- Strong sourcing and screening skills, with the confidence to approach candidates directly.
- The ability to build productive relationships with hiring managers and follow up on competing priorities.
- Clear, professional communication and strong organizational skills.
- Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn, and Microsoft Office.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field is an asset.
- A valid Ontario driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada.
