Roles & Responsibilities
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a critical role in sourcing, screening, and hiring top talent within the skilled trades and electrical industry. Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with hiring teams and stakeholders to define role requirements and hiring criteria.
- Source active and passive candidates using job boards, social media networks, and other resources.
- Screen and interview candidates to assess experience, skills, and alignment with Team UIS core values.
- Maintain clean and accurate data within applicant tracking systems (ATS) to help streamline hiring.
- Attend job fairs and other events to increase outreach.
- Assist with refining recruiting processes.
- Assist with employer branding & recruitment marketing initiatives.
- Uphold confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Contribute to the overall success of Team UIS by performing additional duties as needed.
Qualifications, Experience, and Education Requirements
- Associate's degree in HR, Business, or equivalent work experience.
- 0-2 years of relevant talent acquisition experience, preferred.
- Able to work through challenges and be a self-starter.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (OneDrive).
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality of employee and company information.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
