Job Purpose
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for delivering high volume recruitment support across Canada, with a focus on frontline/hourly roles, entry‑volume recruitment support across Canada, with a focus on frontline/hourly roles, entrylevel‑level salaried positions, and overflow support for student hiring. This role plays a key part in executing targeted recruitment initiatives, organizing local talent attraction engagements, and developing multi‑channel sourcing campaigns. Working closely with Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners, and the broader Talent Acquisition team, the Specialist ensures hiring targets are met through proactive planning, strong relationship management, and consistent recruitment activity tracking.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the hiring process by selecting successful candidates and formalizing compensation recommendations and terms of employment in conjunction with hiring manager and human resources manager in accordance with Lactalis Canada’s requirements and presenting offer of employment to candidates.
- Develop recruitment plans by assessing and discussing requirements with leaders and hiring managers and determining selection of the most appropriate recruiting tool to source candidates in compliance with Lactalis Canada guidelines.
- Execute selection procedures by screening resumes, sourcing candidates, and coordinating / conducting interviews following behavioural interviewing principles (Targeted Selection).
- Build a talent pool and leverage software and tools as a means for building employment branding to attract and retain talent.
- Targeting and screening multiple candidates daily, individually or through group settings.
- Conduct group interviews with selected candidates
- Ability to adhere to tight deadlines, handling high-volume acquisitions
- Participate in cross-functional employer brand projects as assigned.
- Organize and attend Campus Recruitment events, either virtual or in-person with a focus on building a talent pipeline for Lactalis Canada.
- Make recommendations on an on-going basis in order for continuous improvement of processes and practices.
- Provide a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process through effective communication and follow-up.
- Form relationships and develop social networks to connect with highly skilled professionals while projecting a professional image at all times.
- Provide guidance and support to Human Resources department or hiring managers regarding practices or processes.
- Perform weekly administrative duties such as maintaining recruitment metrics report and providing input on metrics.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Sociology, Psychology or related field
- Bilingual (English and French)
- Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience in recruiting, selecting candidates, and interviewing for jobs at all levels in manufacturing
Preferred
- Previous experience using an Applicant Tracking System; SuccessFactors experience strongly preferred.
- Experience recruiting in a high-volume agency environment would be a definite asset
- CHRP designation an asset
- Experience supporting community engagement initiatives or employer brand programs.
- Strong knowledge of behavioural interviewing techniques
- Knowledge of applicable provincial statutes
- Team oriented individual
- Innovative thinking with ability to deliver continuous improvement initiatives
- Results driven with a focus on creative solutions
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, demanding environment

Compensation
As part of our commitment to fairness, trust, and transparency and our ambition to be an Employer of Choice, the base salary range for this position is: $78,600.00–$98,300.00 .
Please note: Along with a comprehensive Total Rewards package, your actual base salary will be fair, competitive, and be based on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
